We encourage our people to grow and develop through teamwork and a diverse range of projects, programs and challenging work. We trust our people to deliver, so when you work with OES, you will join a team who are empowered to impact every day.

The Opportunity:

As our Senior Multimedia Specialist, you’ll take a lead role in producing high quality video, audio, and digital content that supports marketing performance and reimagines online learning. While the role spans the full multimedia lifecycle, it has a strong hands‑on focus on video production, including shooting, directing, and crafting visually compelling content. You’ll work across documentary‑style interviews, narrative‑led productions, and creative concepts, often operating on location, in studio, or independently, while acting as a trusted expert and creative advisor across the organisation.

 Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the production of high‑quality multimedia assets including video, audio, podcasts, and animations
  • Shoot a wide range of content, from multi‑camera interview setups to narrative‑driven and creatively directed productions
  • Plan, coordinate, script, record, and edit multimedia content to industry standards
  • Collaborate with Marketing, Performance, Learning Design teams, academics, and stakeholders to develop innovative rich‑media experiences
  • Act as a subject‑matter expert, providing advice on best practice digital pedagogy and multimedia usage
  • Maintain multimedia equipment, studios, workflows, and standard operating procedures
  • Develop templates, guidelines, and training resources for consistent, scalable production
  • Proactively explore industry trends and creative innovation to elevate OES’s digital output

 About you:

  • 8+ years’ experience in multimedia production, with a strong emphasis on video shooting and production
  • Proven experience producing content for marketing and ideally educational or learner‑centred environments
  • Confidence shooting across varied formats, including interviews, studio and on‑location productions
  • Strong technical skills across industry‑standard tools (Adobe Creative Suite experience essential)
  • Ability to manage projects end‑to‑end and work both independently and collaboratively
  • A creative, strategic mindset with a passion for storytelling and production quality
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to mentor and inspire others
  • Relevant qualifications in multimedia production or a related field

 What Success Looks Like:

  • Building and maintaining best‑practice, scalable production processes
  • Leading innovation and creative excellence in educational media
  • Empowering and elevating the creative team

What you need to know about the Melbourne Tech Scene

Home to 650 biotech companies, 10 major research institutes and nine universities, Melbourne is among one of the top cities for biotech. In fact, some of the greatest medical advancements were conceptualized and developed here, including Symex Lab's "lab-on-a-chip" solution that monitors hormones to predict ovulation for conception, and Denteric's vaccine for periodontal gum disease. Yet, the thousands of people working in the city's healthtech sector are just getting started, to say nothing of the tech advancements across all other sectors.
