What You Will Achieve
In this role, you will:
  • Assist Mechanical Maintenance Manager to supervise Maintenance Technicians to perform maintenance activities (PM, PdM and repairs) according to procedures, good engineering practices and cGMP.
  • Perform day-to-day planning and scheduling maintenance activities to ensure smooth production.
  • Develop maintenance program to maintain plant assets. Review and modify the PM to improve equipment reliability.
  • Lead, coordinate and follow through major equipment repair and troubleshooting.
  • Support manager to achieve financial targets by preparing and controlling against approved annual maintenance budget; scheduling expenditures; analyzing variances; initiating corrective actions for equipment maintenance and repairs.
  • Support project construction and commissioning of plant equipment and systems through active involvement in punch listing and commissioning activities; discuss equipment improvement and modifications with Manager/Engineers.
  • Maintain a safe and clean working environment on areas under one's responsibility.
  • Confirm and verify equipment performance by designing feasibility inspection and testing methods, testing properties and equipment monitoring parameters.
  • Perform maintenance and inspection activities on plant equipment according to procedures, good engineering practices and cGMP.
  • Lead and implement the maintenance programs, collect data, analyze, generate report and recommend corrective actions/improvements to reduce equipment failures.
  • Prepare reports and documentation by collecting, analyzing and summarizing information and trends.
  • Ensure smooth equipment operation by close monitoring of the equipment conditions. Carrying out root cause failure analysis to improve product quality and equipment reliability.
  • Determine acceptability of equipment rework/installation by conducting inspections of reworked equipment and new installation job.
  • Lead in continuous improvement initiatives, troubleshooting of complex problems and lead in (IRS/QAR) investigations/root cause analysis and write investigation report for approval related to equipment issues.
  • Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending GRP CoP meetings, technical workshops and participating in professional societies.
  • Provide training (e.g. OJT) and coaching to colleagues to strengthen-up their competencies.
  • Participate IMEx Process Centric Team Tier 1 meetings and address engineering issues based on priority.
  • Complete all assigned training on-time and also prior to work implementation.
  • Contribute to team effort by accomplishing desired results/KPIs.
  • Standin for Mechanical Maintenance Manager when he is on leave.
  • AOB

KPI's include:
  • Safety incident / lost time
  • Equipment uptime %
  • Critical PM overdue (safety and process critical equipment)
  • Maintenance expenses (actual versus budget)

Here Is What You Need (Minimum Requirements)
  • High school diploma (or equivalent) with 10+ years of experience or associate's degree with 6+ years of relevant experience
  • Demonstrated experience in Good Manufacturing Practices (GxP)
  • Knowledge of Reliability Maintenance, Right First Time technique and performance base management.
  • Experience in a large, global and complex organization would be an advantage
  • Able to handle multiple projects concurrently and possess project management experience
  • Able to impact stakeholders or Business Leaders and to improve trust throughout the organization
  • Demonstrated capability to thrive in a complex and matrix environment
  • Able to work with ambiguity
  • Demonstrated problem-solving and relationship management skills
  • Demonstrated consultative skills
  • Consistently demonstrates clear and concise written and verbal communication

  • Relevant pharmaceutical experience
  • Deep understanding of site operations
  • Experience with regulatory agency requirements and audits
  • Ability to develop and implement technical and operational standards
  • Experience in managing change controls and conducting investigations
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to mentor and review the work of other colleagues
