As our Senior Marketing Manager - Crypto, your key responsibilities include, but may not be limited to: 
Responsible for is a strategic role responsible for executing the end‑to‑end marketing strategy for Pepperstone Crypto in the Australian market. This role leads local market growth across brand, acquisition, engagement, and retention, with a strong focus on digital and app‑led experiences. Working cross‑functionally, the role ensures Pepperstone Crypto delivers a trusted, high‑quality, and locally relevant experience for Australian users. 

The role requires deep understanding of the Australian crypto landscape, consumer behaviour, and regulatory environment, alongside a proven track record of building and scaling marketing strategies in regulated fintech, trading, or crypto industries.  

The Senior Marketing Manager plays a critical role in driving brand awareness, market penetration, and sustainable growth, while ensuring consistent brand representation and alignment with Pepperstone’s operating principles across Australia. 
Key Position Responsibilities  

Strategy & Execution 

  • Own and execute the Australian crypto app marketing strategy, covering app discovery, acquisition, activation, and long‑term engagement. 
  • Define and optimise end‑to‑end growth funnels aligned to crypto‑specific user behaviour, including onboarding, verification, and trading activation. 
  • Partner with Product, Design, and Engineering to ensure marketing strategy is tightly aligned to product roadmap, app capabilities, and user experience outcomes. 

Acquisition & Performance 

  • Lead the planning, execution, and optimisation of AU acquisition strategies across paid, organic, and partnership channels, ensuring sustainable and compliant growth. 
  • Conduct thorough market research and analysis to identify market trends and customer needs within the competitive crypto landscape in Australia.  
  • Translate insights into actionable strategies and campaigns to drive customer acquisition (and retention).  
  • Set performance measurement frameworks, attribution standards, and success metrics for the Australian market. 
  • Drive growth through SEO, content, referrals, partnerships, and community‑led initiatives, balancing scale with long‑term brand trust. 

Engagement & Retention 

  • Own key engagement and retention outcomes, including activation, ongoing usage, and conversion to first trade. 
  • Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) for marketing campaigns and initiatives, regularly tracking and reporting on their effectiveness and impact.  
  • Use data, insights, and experimentation to continuously improve user engagement and lifecycle performance. 
  • Ensure lifecycle, in‑app, and messaging strategies focus on long‑term retention rather than short‑term activity spikes. 

Community & Brand 

  • Build and scale a trusted, high‑quality crypto community aligned to Pepperstone’s brand, operating principles, and regulatory obligations. 
  • Lead partnerships with influencers, creators, and crypto media, ensuring appropriate governance, quality control, and brand alignment. 
  • Ensure consistent, professional brand positioning across all Australian crypto touchpoints, aligned to Pepperstone’s global brand strategy. 
  • Monitor brand perception and implement strategies to enhance brand awareness and recognition in the Australia.  

About you 

  • 5+ years’ experience in mobile or digital marketing within crypto, fintech, trading, or regulated financial services. 
  • Tertiary Degree in marketing, business administration, or a related field is typically required. Advanced degrees or certifications in marketing or relevant disciplines are advantageous.  
  • Strong understanding of the Australian crypto market dynamics, the users, and regulatory considerations. 
  • Demonstrated success owning acquisition, engagement, and retention performance for web- and app‑based products. 
  • Highly analytical and data‑driven, with experience translating insights into clear strategic action. 
  • Meticulousness in campaign planning, execution, and measurement to ensure accuracy and effectiveness.  
  • Proven ability to operate effectively in fast‑paced, evolving environments. 
  • Ability to effectively navigate a matrix reporting structure (sitting in the central marketing team, this role will have a dotted reporting line into the Crypto business unit). 
  • Strong senior stakeholder management and cross‑functional leadership skills.
