Job Expectations

A fantastic opportunity has presented itself for a Senior Manager – Threat Intelligence & Vulnerability Management, General Manager – Cyber Security Practice where you will join the Cyber Security Practice (CSP) team.

A bit about your role

As Senior Manager, Threat Intelligence & Vulnerability Management, you’ll lead nbn’s intelligence program—anticipating threats and transforming diverse data into actionable insights for executives and technical teams. You’ll oversee intelligence collection from government, industry, vendors, and internal sources, delivering strategic, operational, and tactical intelligence such as alerts, adversary profiles (MITRE ATT&CK), watchlists, and briefings.

You’ll also drive the vulnerability response process, managing triage and assessment of new advisories (e.g., ACSC/CISA notices, vendor bulletins, high-risk CVEs), correlating exploitability with business impact, setting patching priorities, and issuing clear, actionable guidance to stakeholders.

This role provides people leadership for a high-performing team, fostering growth, collaboration, and resilience. You’ll influence and align stakeholders across the enterprise—including executives, technical teams, partners, and external agencies—to deliver effective threat intelligence and vulnerability management. You’ll ensure partner and supplier advisories are contextualized, automate workflows for tracking, and provide executive-ready reporting, reinforcing governance and continuous improvement across the Cyber Security Practice.

A bit about you

You have extensive experience in threat intelligence and vulnerability management, with deep knowledge of adversary behaviours, MITRE ATT&CK, and exploitability metrics. You’re a strategic, hands-on leader with a proven record of developing high-performing teams.

You excel at building relationships and influencing stakeholders at all levels to drive enterprise-wide outcomes. Your communication skills enable you to translate complex technical insights into clear, actionable guidance. You thrive in fast-paced, mission-critical environments, champion continuous improvement, and foster a culture of collaboration, accountability, and resilience.

What you need to know about the Melbourne Tech Scene

Home to 650 biotech companies, 10 major research institutes and nine universities, Melbourne is among one of the top cities for biotech. In fact, some of the greatest medical advancements were conceptualized and developed here, including Symex Lab's "lab-on-a-chip" solution that monitors hormones to predict ovulation for conception, and Denteric's vaccine for periodontal gum disease. Yet, the thousands of people working in the city's healthtech sector are just getting started, to say nothing of the tech advancements across all other sectors.
