About the role:
We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Manager, People Operations to lead and evolve our People service delivery across Australia and New Zealand. This is a pivotal role that will drive operational excellence, enhance employee experience, and support CDC’s continued growth through robust, compliant and innovative People practices.
Reporting directly to the Chief People Officer you will oversee the daily People operations of our People and Culture function from end to end and lead a high-performing agile team. You will ensure our People systems, policies, and processes are efficient, scalable, and aligned with CDC’s strategic goals. This role is instrumental in shaping the employee experience and supporting a workforce critical to Australia and New Zealand’s sovereign digital infrastructure.
Other responsibilities include:
- Lead and manage People operations across multiple regions, ensuring consistent and high-quality service delivery
- Oversee HRIS, onboarding, benefits administration, employee records, and compliance with employment legislation
- Develop and refine People policies, procedures, and systems to drive efficiency and accuracy
- Mentor and develop a team of People and Culture professionals, fostering a culture of high performance and continuous improvement
- Act as a trusted advisor to managers and lead the business partnering practice.
- An escalation point for complex employee relations matters
- Drive initiatives to enhance employee engagement, wellbeing, and experience
- Manage People and Culture projects including system upgrades, process automation, and change management
- Monitor and analyse People metrics to identify trends and opportunities for improvement
- Work closely with people managers and leaders to enhance their capabilities as well as ensuring that People Operations maintain a deep understanding of all parts of the business
- Promote diversity and inclusion across the organisation
- Ensure compliance with the Fair Work Act, privacy, and other relevant legislation
- Manage external service providers and vendor relationships
- Support performance management processes and employee relations frameworks
- Manage the employee engagement framework
- Actively look for innovation opportunities
About you:
You are a seasoned People and Culture professional with a passion for operational excellence and a track record of leading high-performing teams. You bring strategic insight, strong leadership, and a deep understanding of People practices, all while fostering a positive and inclusive workplace culture. You look for ways to innovate and enhance the employee experience.
- Extensive experience in People operations with a proven track record in a People and Culture leadership role
- Strong understanding of Australian employment law, People and Culture best practices, and technology platforms.
- Demonstrated ability to lead, motivate, and develop high-performing teams
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder engagement skills
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and project management abilities
- High level of integrity, discretion, and professionalism
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to changing priorities
Essential:
Australian Citizenship with ability to obtain and maintain a NV1 Security Clearance.
