Senior Manager - IT Quality Assurance

Global Tech QA team is the COE for testing and quality assurance for the whole MMC group and is collocated across various countries. As the Senior Manager - IT Quality Assurance, the position will deliver hands on management and coordination in an onshore-offshore model, while liaising with stakeholders and testers. The position will have a major focus on manual and automated testing striving for continuous improvement of the quality and framework of the developed software products, which are inclusive of complex back-end systems and client facing solutions.

We will count on you to:
- Ensure that consistent quality and completion of testing process is achieved through Automation
- Understand Business requirements and develop test strategy
- Investigate technical problems and needs and determine possible solutions
- Complete product upgrade and release testing, monitoring and controlling
- Communicate effectively with team members and stake holders
- Own Pacific GT QA test transformation initiatives for Registry system
- Actively seek out and manage Client expectations
- Liaise with the Test Leads, QA team, Squads and Development team on a daily basis
- Complete status reporting to the all stakeholders
- Coordinate and work with the scrum team and stakeholders
- Drive test planning and delivery for all functional scrum teams in offshore
- Manage day to day tasks for execution of test scripts (Manual and Automated) and reporting test results to stakeholders
- Document test results, defect logs and issue logs wherever possible
- Develop strategies for test automation
- Participate in the development of technical documentation where possible
- Provide technical assistance/coaching to other team members
- Train and mentor other members of the team
- Work with other test leads to improve ROI of overall functional test.
- Effectively communicate with team members, internal and external customers relating project status, delivery dates and project risks in a professional manner.
- Delegate tasks and make team members accountable for their work assignments.
- Provide Coordination support to key project manager by managing day to day activities for team members.
- Identify and resolve issues and problems that will affect accuracy of the technical specification. Manage modifications based on specific client needs.
- Ensure technical specifications include testing, documentation and instructions
What you need to have:
- 15 + years’ experience in the IT industry with demonstrable experience of working on successful test programs on enterprise scale applications or projects
- Excellent knowledge and experience of Manual testing techniques including planning, executing, monitoring and controlling
- Strong Project Management experience
- Previous QA experience in the testing environment
- Previous experience in offshore/onshore and managing multi-location teams
- A strong understanding of Superannuation & Wealth Management domain
- A strong understanding of Registry systems and expected user experience
- Knowledge of Confluence/JIRA
- Strong knowledge of MS-Office and associated functionality
- Test Planning, Execution, Monitoring and Controlling
- Experience in managing and driving Automation
- End to end experience of the project lifecycle and experience of RAD/Agile/Hybrid and Waterfall methodologies
- Strong relationship building & customer focus
- The ability to multi task in multiple initiatives / implementations simultaneously
- Excellent communication skills both upstream / downstream
- Strong leading skills with focus on strategic goal alignments
- A high degree of problem-solving skills to resolve problems in a multi-product/service environment
