About the role 
 

Are you ready to explore innovative solutions to shape the future of road transport? At Transurban, we’re seeking a tech-savvy leader with sharp business acumen to explore groundbreaking solutions that drive competitive advantage, and position us for strategic growth. 

 

Day-to-day, you will: 

 

  • Lead innovation initiatives, including cross-functional squads, to deliver tangible business value 

  • Be the innovation team’s ‘SME’ on discovery, testing, validation and value proposition design for emerging technology solutions 

  • Scout new opportunities through market research, trend analysis, and stakeholder engagement. 

  • Develop growth-focused technology initiatives aligned with Transurban’s strategy. 

  • Collaborate on business design and modelling to ensure commercial viability. 

  • Foster a dynamic, innovation-driven culture across the organisation. 

 
 

This role will suit someone with a curious mind and transferrable skills and experiences, including: 

 

  • Expertise in technology value proposition design and understanding of transport technologies, digital transformation, and growth focused innovation. 

  • An ability to balance strong business acumen with technical literacy  

  • Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills and comfortable engaging at a senior level internally and externally 

  • Leadership skills to drive cross-functional teams and lead initiatives from concept to execution. 

  • An agile mindset with the ability to balance short-term results and long-term growth strategies.
