This role is designed for a seasoned professional who can shape and lead complex, enterprise-wide transformations, embedding data and AI at the heart of business and operating model reinvention.

You will be responsible for guiding clients through large-scale AI-led change – from defining ambition and identifying opportunity, to building investment cases and steering end-to-end execution.

We’re particularly interested in individuals with experience operating in complex, regulated sectors such as Health & Public Services or Communications, Media & Technology , who bring both strategic depth and delivery credibility.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the development of holistic data and AI strategies, including operating models, architecture frameworks, and multi-year transformation roadmaps

  • Design and drive AI transformation programs that reimagine business and technology functions, and accelerate value capture at scale

  • Advise C-level stakeholders on the strategic implications of AI and data – influencing decision-making and aligning transformation with business objectives

  • Shape actionable, insight-driven business cases and prioritised AI use cases aligned to value potential

  • Guide clients through the organisational and cultural changes required to operationalise AI at scale – across talent, governance, and ways of working

  • Lead and mentor cross-functional teams across strategy, architecture, engineering, and delivery

  • Contribute to go-to-market activity, solutioning, proposal development, and internal capability uplift

What We’re Looking For

  • Demonstrated experience leading enterprise data and AI strategy or transformation programs

  • Strong understanding of enterprise architecture, operating model design, and value-driven solutioning

  • Proven ability to influence and partner with senior business and technology stakeholders

  • Ability to navigate ambiguity and bring structure to complex problems

  • Strong commercial acumen, with the ability to connect AI ambition to business impact

  • Industry experience or exposure to Health & Public Services, Communications, or Technology-driven environments

  • Prior consulting experience, or demonstrated success in a senior internal transformation role

  • Expertise in AI maturity frameworks, adoption roadmaps, and AI operating models

  • Understanding of cloud platforms and modern data ecosystems (e.g., Azure, AWS, GCP)

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including experience in crafting executive-level presentations and points of view

What you need to know about the Melbourne Tech Scene

Home to 650 biotech companies, 10 major research institutes and nine universities, Melbourne is among one of the top cities for biotech. In fact, some of the greatest medical advancements were conceptualized and developed here, including Symex Lab's "lab-on-a-chip" solution that monitors hormones to predict ovulation for conception, and Denteric's vaccine for periodontal gum disease. Yet, the thousands of people working in the city's healthtech sector are just getting started, to say nothing of the tech advancements across all other sectors.
