About the role:
We’re looking for a Senior Manager to join our Corporate Tax team in Melbourne, a role designed for a strategic thinker who thrives on complex challenges, values collaboration, and is ready to influence the future of our practice.
This is a senior leadership position with exposure to a diverse portfolio of clients and technically challenging work. You’ll partner with our leaders to deliver high-level tax advice, manage complex transactions, and drive growth within the division.
Key responsibilities include:
Leading client service teams and ensuring exceptional delivery of RSM’s tax services.
Providing strategic and commercial tax advice to clients, resolving complex issues alongside Partners.
Managing tax advice on significant transactions, including M&A structuring, restructures, and tax due diligence.
Advising on corporate tax matters such as tax consolidation, thin capitalisation, debt deduction rules, and international tax issues.
Reviewing complex group income tax returns and provisions.
Driving team development through mentoring, technical training, and leadership.
Contributing to business development and attracting new clients to the division.
About you:
You’re a confident leader and trusted advisor who thrives in a dynamic environment. You combine technical expertise with commercial insight and have a passion for developing people and building strong client relationships.
Ideally, you bring:
A Business, Commerce, Finance or Law degree (Accounting major preferred) and CA or equivalent qualification; a Master of Taxation is highly regarded.
7+ years’ experience in corporate tax within professional services or a major corporate environment.
Proven experience managing teams and delivering complex projects.
Exceptional communication skills and attention to detail.
Ability to work autonomously while fostering collaboration across the team.
