About CIO for Technology
The CIO for Technology team ensures that CommBank has a world-class engineering capability and is at the forefront of technology, using innovative and emerging technology to help our customers and support our Group Strategy. Focused on innovation, best practices, and collaboration, the team seeks a senior manager to work with Commonwealth Bank’s global engineering community to use AI assisted tools and capabilities in ways that improve the engineering experience and productivity enhancing productivity and engineering across the bank's global community.

What exactly will you do?
- Collaborate with senior leadership, a cross-functional squad, and the AI Acceleration Office to drive AI-assisted tool experiments and provide transparent progress reporting for the AI-powered engineering function.
- Coordinate squads across the bank to test AI-assisted tools while collaborating with AI researchers, engineers, and product managers to identify new opportunities to use AI engineering tools and capabilities across the Group.
- Create executive-level reports and collaborate with the Technology Ecosystem team to showcase AI advancements through blogs, media, and more, highlighting the Group's impact on the engineering community internally and externally.
- Collaborate with HR and Engineering Practice to embed learning pathways, enhance AI tool adoption, and drive alignment through effective planning, prioritisation, and risk management.
- Remain current in AI technology advancements, applying them to solve engineering challenges.
About you
- An experienced leader with strong collaboration, communication, and reporting skills, effectively presenting technical updates to diverse audiences.
- Proven track record in driving engineering initiatives, embedding tools and capabilities across teams, and managing complex, multi-stakeholder programs.
- You will be obsessed with emerging technologies and continuous learning, with strong expertise in Agile methodologies and tools like Jira and Confluence.
