The role

Our Melbourne WRES team currently has an exciting opportunity for a remarkable Lawyer to join their growing practice. This exciting opportunity sits within our market recognised WRES practice working with Partner, Stuart Pill and other partners and special counsel in the team. Stuart and his team have a well-respected reputation in the market and are trusted advisers to leading corporate, higher education and government clients.

The WRES team successfully represents a strong client base, acting in high profile and high quality matters across both private and public sectors, on all aspects of workplace relations. The matters you will be working on are varied and interesting, covering industrial relations and advice and disputation, employment and discrimination advice, litigation in Federal and State Courts and tribunals, general employment law, advising on the employment aspects of corporate transactions, compliance and regulatory matters, whistleblowing and  work, health and safety. .
 

Skills & Experience
To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • A minimum of 2 years’ experience as a Lawyer
  • Proven experience working on industrial relations, employment and/or workplace health and safety matters
  • Demonstrated a capability to work autonomously as well as a team member to manage a robust and diverse workload
  • A high degree of initiative, dedication and organisational ability with a strong client and commercial focus
  • Strong communication skills and practical problem solving skills
  • A desire to develop and participate in business development initiatives, including seminars and publishing articles
  • A proactive attitude towards personal development to expand your skills and knowledge to meet client needs
