Build your career and Australia’s future.
Not many people can say they are working on building Australia’s future. With us you’ll be doing just that, leaving a legacy for all Australians. Plus, there’s equal employment, great training, and true flexible working arrangements.
We have an exciting opportunity at nbn for a Senior Human Resources Advisor, reporting to the Senior Manager, Leader Support Services.
A bit about your role
As a Senior Human Resources Advisor, you will be a trusted partner to over 250 Leaders across your assigned Business Units, supporting them with the full spectrum of people-related matters. In this role, you will provide responsive, practical and thoughtful guidance that enables Leaders to navigate complex situations and achieve their teams and organisational goals.
This role is hands-on and people-focused, requiring end-to-end case management across a wide range of topics including performance, conduct, wellbeing, flexible work, and remuneration. You will work closely with Leaders from Executive General Manager level and below, helping them interpret policy, manage risk, and make confident, informed decisions. You will be operating in a fast-paced, large-scale environment, as part of a tight-knit, collaborative and supportive team. Your work will contribute to a culture of care, clarity and accountability, ensuring our people feel supported and our Leaders feel empowered.
A bit about you
You are an experienced HR professional with generalist background and a solid understanding of Australian employment relations. You bring a calm, collaborative approach to case management and are confident interpreting legislation, industrial instruments and internal policies. Your ability to coach, influence and build trust with senior stakeholders makes you a valued advisor in moments that matter.
You thrive in fast-paced environments and are proactive in your approach. You may be stepping up from an advisory or junior business partnering role, ready to take on broader responsibility and grow your impact. Your success in conflict resolution and negotiation reflects your empathy and professionalism, and you may bring knowledge of safety-related matters, which is valued but not essential.
