We’re here to help businesses spend smarter, save time, and grow profitably. If you’re passionate about building modern systems, solving real-world problems, and making a difference for SMEs, come build the future with us.

Job Description

As a Senior Fullstack Engineer, you’ll join our small, highly capable engineering team and play a key role in our technical direction. Working closely with our CTO, you’ll have influence over architectural decisions, engineering practices, and how our platform evolves as we scale.

We operate fully remotely with a high-trust culture, so you’ll thrive here if you’re self-motivated, accountable, and comfortable driving work forward autonomously.

In this role, you will:

  • Lead the design, implementation, and delivery of new services, features, and system improvements.
  • Influence our architecture and contribute to shaping our technical roadmap as we scale an AI-first product.
  • Work across the full tech stack: TypeScript, React, Postgres, AWS.
  • Build reliable, observable, maintainable systems and champion engineering best practices.
  • Own projects end-to-end, from requirement definition through to deployment and ongoing improvement.
  • Collaborate closely with Product, Growth, and other teams to solve high-impact problems.
  • Contribute to building a strong engineering culture based on trust, autonomy, and craftsmanship.

Qualifications

  • You have experience building large-scale software applications.
  • Strong capability with TypeScript, Node.js, React, SQL, and modern frontend architecture.
  • Hands-on experience with AWS serverless technologies such as Lambda, DynamoDB, EventBridge, and CDK.
  • A strong understanding of system design, architecture, and long-term maintainability.
  • Experience with unit and integration testing.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, particularly in a remote, asynchronous environment.
  • A mindset of ownership, curiosity, and continuous improvement, and our values resonate with you.
  • Previous experience in a startup environment is preferred.

The salary range for this role is $140-170k + Super, depending on experience & skills.
Candidates must have full Australian Work Rights and be based in Australia to be considered for this role.

Additional Information

We’re guided by trust, respect, and ownership. Our four core values, Embrace Change, Carte Blanche, Find Wisdom in Data, and We All “Own It”, shape how we collaborate, learn, and grow. Some of our benefits:

  • We’re fully remote, so you can work from anywhere in Australia
  • 5 weeks annual leave and flexible working - we believe in balance
  • Monthly “Wellness Budget” to help you stay healthy, mentally & physically
  • Employee share options (ESOP) for all team members - we truly all “own it”

We’re accepting applications now and will begin the interview process in January 2026.

We welcome applications from all backgrounds, abilities, and identities. We value diversity and believe that it enhances our creativity, innovation, and overall success. Join us in creating a workplace where everyone can thrive.

What you need to know about the Melbourne Tech Scene

Home to 650 biotech companies, 10 major research institutes and nine universities, Melbourne is among one of the top cities for biotech. In fact, some of the greatest medical advancements were conceptualized and developed here, including Symex Lab's "lab-on-a-chip" solution that monitors hormones to predict ovulation for conception, and Denteric's vaccine for periodontal gum disease. Yet, the thousands of people working in the city's healthtech sector are just getting started, to say nothing of the tech advancements across all other sectors.
