We are looking for someone to provide product development and technical leadership to support the delivery of ANZ product value engineering initiatives. In this role, you'll dive into exciting projects from brainstorming and feasibility to development and launch, all while focusing on making our products top-notch and cost-effective.

You'll team up with individuals from R&D, Procurement, Marketing, and Manufacturing to turn fresh ideas into reality. We're looking for someone with a solid background in product development and ingredient knowledge, along with strong project management skills to ensure smooth execution.
About the role
- Lead teams in ideation of cost savings opportunities for raw materials, ingredients and process that will improve the value proposition for McCain
- Work collaboratively and cross-functionally to develop new raw material and ingredient VE ideas and prepare business cases for new projects
- Collaborate with suppliers to drive performance and evaluate new technologies and cost savings opportunities
- Support procurement in realising savings across raw materials and ingredients spend and opportunities for SCA and VE
- Build relationships within the organization to develop new projects and business processes efficiently within the McCain business
- Influence project stakeholders in all functions and senior leadership to clear obstacles and deliver results for the organization
- Lead technical teams as a program manager for high value and/or high complexity initiatives to ensure successful implementation
About you
- 7 - 10 years of technical and professional research & development experience in consumer goods, preferably in food
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Food Science & Technology, Engineering, or a related technical field.
- Demonstrated knowledge of product development, cost optimisation, manufacturing processes with demonstrated experience of product commercialization
- Business acumen and influencing skills strengthen ability to gain buy-in for projects
- Able to anticipate issues and manage project risks while focussing on execution
- Innovative and creative problem solver and out-of-the-box thinker
- Proven ability to work collaboratively to drive product development initiatives with cross-functional partners
- Project management training or certification in project management would be valued
- Successful candidates will have technical depth, dynamic cross-functional interaction and highly effective communication and project management skills
