We're seeking a Senior Financial Planning Analyst to play a pivotal role in supporting the continued growth and performance of our Retail (Bricks & Mortar) and eCommerce channels across Oceania. This is a highly visible commercial finance position that partners directly with senior leaders to provide strategic insights, challenge thinking, and help shape the future direction of the business.
As a trusted advisor to Retail and eCommerce leadership teams, you'll lead forecasting, budgeting and performance analysis processes, provide recommendations that influence decision-making, and identify opportunities to drive profitable growth. You'll also have the opportunity to mentor junior talent, contribute to strategic projects, and help elevate the Commercial Finance function across the business.

About the RoleReporting to the Head of Commercial Finance, the Senior Financial Planning Analyst plays a critical role in providing strategic financial support and commercial insights across PUMA's Retail and eCommerce business. Acting as a key partner to operational and executive stakeholders, you'll help drive business performance through financial leadership, commercial analysis and forward-looking decision support.
This role extends beyond traditional FP&A responsibilities. You'll lead budgeting and forecasting cycles, present financial performance to senior leadership, support major investment decisions, and provide commercially focused recommendations that directly influence business outcomes. You'll also serve as a mentor within the team, helping develop capability while contributing to key strategic initiatives across the business.
What You'll Be DoingLead Financial Planning & Forecasting
Own the planning processes that underpin business performance and support sustainable growth across Retail and eCommerce.
You'll:
Lead annual Budget, Forecast and Strategic Planning cycles.
Develop rolling forecasts and proactively identify risks and opportunities.
Build and maintain robust financial models that support strategic decision-making.
Monitor key commercial drivers including sales, conversion, average transaction value, labour productivity and occupancy costs.
Evaluate investment proposals and capital expenditure requests.
Drive continuous improvement across FP&A processes, reporting and planning frameworks.
Deliver Strategic Reporting & Commercial Insights
Transform financial data into meaningful insights that help leaders make informed business decisions.
You'll:
Deliver monthly financial reporting, performance analysis and variance commentary across Retail and eCommerce.
Present financial results, key trends, risks and opportunities to senior stakeholders.
Lead the preparation of Monthly Financial Reviews and executive reporting packs.
Drive OPEX reviews and identify opportunities to optimise business performance.
Support store openings, relocations, refurbishments, lease renewals and other strategic investment decisions.
Develop financial models, dashboards and reporting tools that improve business visibility and decision-making.
Be a Trusted Business Partner
Partner directly with key leaders across the business and help shape strategic and operational decisions.
You'll:
Act as the dedicated finance partner to the Head of Retail, Head of eCommerce and broader leadership teams.
Challenge assumptions and influence decisions through commercially focused recommendations.
Support strategic initiatives and growth opportunities with detailed financial modelling and analysis.
Provide insights into store profitability, investment performance and commercial opportunities.
Lead Monthly and Quarterly Business Reviews with senior stakeholders.
Help shape both short-term performance and long-term business strategy.
Provide Leadership & Mentorship
Play a key role in developing capability within the Commercial Finance team while supporting broader business initiatives.
You'll:
Coach and mentor junior finance team members.
Support the Head of Commercial Finance on strategic and cross-functional projects.
Contribute to executive presentations, board materials and leadership discussions.
Step into leadership conversations and key initiatives when required.
Foster a collaborative, commercially focused and high-performing finance culture.
We're seeking a commercially astute finance professional who combines strong technical capability with exceptional stakeholder management and business partnering skills.
You'll bring:
5-8 years' experience in FP&A or Commercial Finance.
CA or CPA qualification.
Demonstrated experience leading budgeting, forecasting and planning processes.
Experience presenting financial insights and recommendations to senior stakeholders.
Advanced financial modelling and analytical capability.
Experience within Retail, FMCG or Consumer Goods environments will be highly regarded.
Strong Excel, Power BI and ERP system expertise.
A proven ability to influence decisions through financial insight and commercial business partnering.
