Job Description

A Senior EUC (End User Compute) Engineer POS and Mobile play a pivotal role in designing, implementing, and maintaining the organization's server, virtualization, Microsoft ecosystem. This role encompasses several key responsibilities and objectives, including:

Here is a taster of what you can expect in this role:

• Designing, implementing, and maintaining EUC devices and associated management systems infrastructure to align with business objectives.

• Providing technical expertise in systems technologies and adept problem-solving skills.

• Ensuring high availability, reliability, and security of the systems operating environment.

• Designing and implementing systems infrastructure solutions aligned with business requirements and industry best practices.

• Implement and maintain printer services, including - Printer Server, Cloud Print, On Click printing services, Printer management

• Implement and maintain handheld device, device management and integration solutions in support of retail outlets and customer services.

• Implement and maintain windows workstation SOE and associated deployment and management tools - eg Intune, SCCM

• Troubleshooting complex systems issues and providing escalated support.

• Mentoring junior engineers and contributing to continuous improvement efforts.

• Effectively communicating technical information to non-technical stakeholders.

• Staying updated on industry trends and recommending systems enhancements.

• Delivering high-quality systems services and ensuring customer satisfaction.

• Optimizing systems performance and scalability.

• Documenting configurations and procedures.

• Transitioning technologies from delivery to operations.

Qualifications

Now let’s talk about you: 

• 5+ years experience in EUC engineering roles.

• Expertise across multiple EUC systems technologies, including Workstations, Printers and handheld devices.

• Expertise is packaging and deployment processes for workstation and handheld devices (Android, IOS)

• Expertise across multiple systems technologies, including on-premises devices, management systems, Automated deployment systems.  Microsoft Autopilot, Intune and SCCM. Android Device and Aiwatch. Integration is EUC systems with MS AD.

• Experience in implementing device management and patch management systems and processes.

• Experience and thorough understanding of ITSM and ITIL processes such as change management, incident management, and configuration management.

• Strong understanding of systems concepts and protocols.

• Experience with systems security measures.

• Proficiency in systems monitoring and management tools (e.g., Dynatrace, ServiceNow).

• Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.

• Effective communication and teamwork abilities.

• Hands-on experience with systems design and implementation.

• Project management and organizational skills.
