The Opportunity
To support our growing portfolio of High Voltage infrastructure projects, we are seeking a Senior Electrical Designer / Modeller to join our Power Systems team. In this role, you will be responsible for the development and coordination of high-quality 3D electrical models for substation projects, using Revit MEP and AutoCAD, supporting major infrastructure programs across Australia.
As a senior member of the design team, you will play a key role in delivering accurate, coordinated, and constructible models, working closely with electrical engineers and multidisciplinary teams to ensure seamless integration across all project deliverables. You will be relied upon for your technical expertise, attention to detail, and ability to proactively identify and resolve design challenges.
Your responsibilities will include preparing and reviewing detailed drawings and documentation in accordance with Australian standards and client requirements, supporting model coordination and clash detection activities, and actively participating in design reviews. You will also contribute to improving modelling workflows, standards, and digital delivery practices across the team.
In addition to your technical contributions, you will provide guidance and informal mentoring to junior designers, helping to uplift capability and promote best practices.
About You
You are an experienced and proactive Senior Electrical Modeller with a strong background in high voltage substation projects.
You combine solid technical capability with a collaborative approach and are comfortable working with a degree of autonomy while contributing to a high-performing team.
You bring strong problem-solving skills, a keen eye for detail, and the confidence to engage effectively with engineers and multidisciplinary stakeholders.
We’re looking for someone with:
- Established experience designing/modelling across electrical HV infrastructure projects
- Proficiency in Revit MEP and AutoCAD.
- Strong understanding of substation and high voltage electrical systems and relevant Australian codes and standards.
- Ability to produce electrical drawings/models independently and contribute to model coordination activities
- Experience working on Defence, Transport, or large-scale infrastructure projects is highly regarded.
- Familiarity with Navisworks, ACC, and Revizto + Knowledge of PDF software tools such as Bluebeam or PDF Exchange.
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team.
