Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior DevOps Engineer to join our dynamic team in Melbourne, Australia. In this role, you will play a crucial part in streamlining our software development and deployment processes, ensuring efficient and reliable delivery of our products.

  • Design, implement, and maintain robust CI/CD pipelines and automation workflows
  • Collaborate with development teams to integrate DevOps practices and tools
  • Provision and manage cloud infrastructure using infrastructure as code (IaC) principles
  • Implement containerization and orchestration strategies using tools like Docker and Kubernetes
  • Monitor and optimize system performance, reliability, and scalability
  • Troubleshoot and resolve production issues, ensuring high availability and uptime
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of DevOps processes and best practices
  • Promote a culture of automation, collaboration, and knowledge sharing within the team

Qualifications

  • Strong experience with DevOps tools and practices (e.g., Git, Jenkins, Docker, Kubernetes, Ansible, Terraform)
  • Proficiency in scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash, Ruby)
  • Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP)
  • Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and automation
  • Understanding of infrastructure as code (IaC) principles
  • Experience with monitoring and logging tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, ELK Stack)
  • Familiarity with agile methodologies and software development life cycle (SDLC)
  • Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
  • Excellent communication and collaboration abilities
  • Experience with containerization and orchestration tools (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes) is preferred
  • Knowledge of configuration management tools (e.g., Ansible, Puppet, Chef) is a plus
  • Familiarity with microservices architecture and service mesh technologies is advantageous
  • Experience with security best practices and compliance standards is desirable
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., AWS Certified DevOps Engineer, Kubernetes Certified Administrator) are beneficial
