Job Description:
We are looking for an experienced Oracle Database Administrator with a minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience, preferably with a strong background in Linux/Unix environments and development expertise in SQL and PL/SQL.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing and monitoring Oracle databases, collaborating with development teams to resolve design and support issues, and troubleshooting performance bottlenecks.
Key Responsibilities:
- Install, patch, and monitor Oracle databases across environments.
- Utilize Oracle management tools such as RMAN, Data Pump, and Oracle Enterprise Manager (OEM).
- Collaborate with developers to support database design and performance optimization.
- Troubleshoot database issues and perform SQL tuning.
- Develop and maintain SQL, PL/SQL, and Bash shell scripts for automation and maintenance tasks.
- Ensure database integrity, security, and availability.
Required Skills:
- 5+ years of Oracle DBA hands-on experience.
- Proficiency in Oracle database administration and performance tuning.
- Experience with backup and recovery tools (RMAN), data export/import (Data Pump), and monitoring tools (OEM).
- Strong scripting skills in SQL, PL/SQL, and Bash.
- Good understanding of database modeling and table design principles.
- Experience in other database technologies like MySQL, Postgres, MS SQL Server is advantageous.
- Ability to work independently with a high level of attention to detail.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proactive, dependable, and ready to support production environments.
