We have an exciting opportunity at nbn, as a Senior Data Engineer reporting to Senior Manager DevSecOps, Data and AI

A bit about your role

As a Senior Data Engineer at nbn, you'll play a crucial role in the entire data analytics solution lifecycle, from design to deployment, using industry-leading methods and tools. Reporting to the Senior Manager, you'll design data warehouse models, solve complex problems, and collaborate with various teams to ensure high-quality, consistent data solutions. You'll also present designs to stakeholders, ensure timely deliverables, and explore new applications and models. This role involves working closely with business, architecture, and compliance teams to support nbn's data strategy and operations.

A bit about you

You should have a Bachelor’s Degree in computer science; or a related field, or equivalent experience. With extensive experience in ICT and at experienced in telecommunications sector, you can effectively address data challenges and translate business needs into technical solutions.

You excel in data modelling, designing efficient data structures, and subsequently building and testing data warehouse solutions. You will maintain and enhance the data warehouse frameworks used for ELT processes by leveraging SQL, PySpark, and Python. You are proficient in AWS technologies such as S3, EMR, EKS, and Glue, and have working knowledge of CI/CD frameworks like Jenkins, Terraform, and Git.

Experience with Scrum or agile practices is preferred, as is leading significant data projects. You can make data warehouse design decisions and manage delivery dates, escalating issues when necessary.
