The Role

You'll be our first dedicated data hire, responsible for building and maintaining our data infrastructure from the ground up.

You'll work closely with engineering, product, and business teams to create a scalable data warehouse that enables data-driven decision making across the organisation.

What you’ll do:

  • Design and implement our data warehouse architecture using modern cloud technologies

  • Build and maintain ETL/ELT pipelines to integrate data from multiple sources

  • Operate in a healthcare compliant environment implementing standards to ensure patient privacy and the security of your systems

  • Establish data modeling practices and implement them in our warehouse

  • Create automated data quality monitoring and testing processes

  • Collaborate with engineering to connect and transform the data held in NoSQL production dbs into understandable insights for non-technical teams

  • Collaborate with teams to understand their data needs and implement solutions

  • Set up and maintain BI tools for business users

  • Document data architecture, lineage, and processes

What we will look for:

  • 4+ years of experience in data engineering or similar role

  • Strong SQL skills and experience with modern data warehouses (Snowflake, BigQuery, or Redshift)

  • Experience with ETL/ELT tools (dbt, Fivetran, Airbyte, or similar)

  • Programming experience in Python or similar language

  • Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure)

  • Track record of building data infrastructure from scratch

  • Experience with version control, code review, and testing practices for data pipelines (e.g.: GitHub)
