We are currently partnering with a leading Canadian financial institution who is looking to hire a Senior Data Engineer with Platform Experience to support the evolution of its Core Data Platform. This role requires deep platform engineering expertise and experience building enterprise-scale data platforms in regulated environments.
Key Responsibilities- Lead end-to-end delivery of data platform initiatives with full ownership of quality and documentation
- Partner directly with stakeholders to define requirements and proactively communicate scope or technical impacts
- Operate autonomously, escalating blockers with recommended solutions
- Drive technical decisions and mentor peers on platform design and engineering best practices
- Represent the engineering team confidently in cross-functional and stakeholder discussions
Requirements
- 7+ years of Data Engineering experience
- 3+ years of hands-on experience with:
- Enterprise Data Warehouse platforms and/or Data Mesh architectures
- Strong experience with:
- Snowflake
- Snowflake UniStore
- dbt Core and/or dbt Cloud
- Dagster or Airflow
- Python
- Advanced SQL
- AWS and/or Azure
- GitHub Actions
