Job Description

Mattel ANZ are seeking a Senior Associate, Consumer Products to join our Consumer Products team! This role plays an important part in supporting the growth of Mattel’s licensing business across ANZ, managing key licensee relationships, and driving category and retail opportunities across Mattel’s iconic portfolio of brands.

This is an exciting opportunity for a commercially minded licensing, brand, or retail professional who enjoys building strong partnerships, identifying growth opportunities, and bringing products to life across retail and marketing activations. You’ll work cross-functionally with internal teams, licensees, and retail partners to support category growth, product development, forecasting, approvals, and brand execution in a fast-paced environment.

As a Senior Associate, Consumer Products you will be responsible for: 

  • Managing day-to-day relationships with assigned licensees to drive sales, revenue, and product development opportunities.
  • Supporting category plans and identifying new business, product, retail, and consumer opportunities.
  • Managing product development and approval processes to ensure products align with Mattel brand standards.
  • Supporting forecasting, royalty reporting, contract administration, and business reviews.
  • Collaborating with internal teams and retail partners to support category growth and retail execution.
  • Supporting marketing activations including promotions, catalogue activity, presentations, and retailer programs.
  • Monitoring retail, consumer, and competitor trends to identify opportunities and risks across the category.
  • Supporting Consumer Products events including Licensing Shows, Toy Fairs, and customer presentations.

Qualifications

  • Experience, knowledge and skills we think the right candidate will hold:

  • Tertiary qualifications in marketing, business, commerce, or a related discipline are preferred.
  • 5–7 years’ experience in licensing, consumer products, brand management, marketing, retail, or a related commercial environment.
  • Experience working with licensees, retailers, or external commercial partners.
  • Strong commercial, analytical, and organisational skills with confidence working across forecasts, reporting, and business reviews.
  • Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and relationship building skills.
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • A proactive, adaptable, and solutions-focused mindset with a passion for brands and consumer products.
