Our Purpose
At Xero, we’re here to help you supercharge your business. We do this by automating routine tasks, surfacing actionable insights and connecting businesses with the right data, advisors and apps. When that happens, we’re not only making life better for small business, we’ll be building a stronger economy that can change the world.
This team works closely with the People Experience (PX) Leadership Team, Global Business Operations & Strategy team and other cross-functional stakeholders to help ensure our people strategy is designed thoughtfully and executed effectively.
In this role, you will support the development and operationalisation of Xero’s people strategy. You will help refine PX’s strategic roadmap and turn it into an executable plan with processes that are measured and continuously improved, while also supporting the implementation of these programs in partnership with PX program leads and uplifting the PX team abilities.
Working closely with the GM of PX Operations and your peers, you will be a key contributor to overseeing the effective running of the function, which includes all PX related forums, working with the GM PX Operations and PXLT on board papers and general business management of the PX function.
What you'll do
• Strategy & Alignment – Refine and operationalise the PX strategy, ensuring alignment across PX teams and key partners. Develop and track PX OKRs, operating plans, and key metrics.
• Insights & Decision Support – Provide clear, data-driven insights to enable senior decision-making. Prepare strategic materials, initiative updates, and performance metrics.
• Collaboration & Problem-Solving – Partner across PX and key teams to address challenges, align approaches, and drive strategic initiatives.
• Process Optimisation – Identify and implement efficiencies, automate reporting, and streamline workflows to enhance PX operations.
• Stakeholder Engagement – Facilitate strategic workshops, align PX messaging with business priorities, and support large cross-functional projects.
• Capability Building – Drive data literacy, analytical rigor, and continuous learning across PX.
What you'll bring
• Ideally 3+ years of consulting experience (HR experience an added bonus but not required).
• Experience in shaping strategic narratives through presentations tailored to the relevant audience
• Strong ability to extract data and insights to inform decision-making.
• A big-picture mindset—able to step back and assess priorities rather than diving straight into execution.
• Experience in workshop facilitation / delivery in various formats
