Description

Come shape the future of education with us.

Compass is one of the world’s leading education technology platforms, trusted by more than 5,000 schools across Australia, the UK, and Ireland. As a high-growth scale-up backed by significant investment and a global mission, we’re on a mission to deliver integrated software solutions that simplify school operations and improve teaching, learning and engagement.

We are expanding into a new strategic customer segment and need sharp, driven consultants to lead complex software projects with our most high-impact clients. This role is ideal for individuals with 2–4+ years’ experience in consulting or enterprise software delivery, who are excited by client-facing work, operational problem-solving and mission-critical outcomes.

About the Role

As a Senior Consultant, you’ll work directly with school executives, Compass product teams, and internal delivery squads to deliver digital transformation across large, complex schools.

This includes:

  • Leading high-impact client rollouts of Compass’s platform across curriculum, student wellbeing, administration, and parent engagement.
  • Engaging senior school leaders (principals, deputy principals, IT directors) to understand pain points and design tailored onboarding and transformation journeys.
  • Managing implementation programs across multiple work streams (data migration, training, configuration, change) with a focus on velocity and value.
  • Partnering with internal teams (Sales, Product, Support, Engineering) to ensure execution aligns with strategic goals and client outcomes.
  • Analysing workflows and driving process transformation using data and insight to optimise school operations.
  • Mentoring junior consultants and collaborating across projects to continuously improve our implementation playbooks.
  • Contributing to strategic growth, including playbook development, new segment design, and future-facing delivery capabilities.

What you need to know about the Melbourne Tech Scene

Home to 650 biotech companies, 10 major research institutes and nine universities, Melbourne is among one of the top cities for biotech. In fact, some of the greatest medical advancements were conceptualized and developed here, including Symex Lab's "lab-on-a-chip" solution that monitors hormones to predict ovulation for conception, and Denteric's vaccine for periodontal gum disease. Yet, the thousands of people working in the city's healthtech sector are just getting started, to say nothing of the tech advancements across all other sectors.
