Play a pivotal role in supporting the financial & commercial management of projects. Including analysing project costs, budgets, and commercial risks to ensure projects meet financial targets and contractual obligations.
What you will do:
- Preparation of monthly commercial and financial reports including benefits tracking, key performance indicator reporting, capex tracking and project forecasts.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records and documentation related to projects.
- Collaborate with project managers, commercial teams, and finance to provide timely financial insights and recommendations.
- Assist in identifying commercial risks and opportunities and support mitigation strategies.
- Monitor and analyse project budgets, costs, and forecasts to ensure alignment with financial goals.
- Utilize project management and financial software to track and report commercial metrics.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, accounting standards, and regulatory requirements.
- Preparation of Business cases as required. This will include consultation with all relevant stakeholders to ensure that the input is as accurate as possible.
- Support contract administration, review terms & conditions, and assist with setting up new vendors.
- Participate in financial close-out activities and post-project reviews.
Required Skills/Experience:
- CA/CPA qualification
- Proven experience in a commercial analyst, project finance, or project control role
- Strong analytical, numerical mindset & proficiency in financial analysis & modelling.
- Experience using D365, Monday.com software preferred
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively liaise with internal & external stakeholders.
- High attention to detail to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
- Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team.
- Knowledge of contract law and commercial management principles advantageous.
