Join our Workforce Solutions business unit in this hunter-focused Business Development Manager role to fuel the hyper-growth of the Verification ExchangeⓇ in Australia. This is an incredible opportunity to help our customers instantly verify income and employment information in a digital and secure way using an award-winning, innovative solution.
Reporting directly to the Executive General Manager, this role can be based in Melbourne or Sydney and offers the chance to join an amazing team during a period of significant expansion. You will be at the forefront of driving adoption for a solution that is transforming how lenders verify critical data.
What you’ll do
Proactively target and acquire new 'lender' customers (e.g., banks and non-bank lenders) to drive adoption of Verification Exchange.
Partner with technical teams to lead Proof of Concepts (POCs) and guide customers through the technical solution adoption phase.
Build and maintain relationships with senior decision-makers, including Chief Risk Officers (CROs) and C-Level Heads of Business Operations.
Identify and pursue new sales opportunities while maintaining strong relationships with key customers.
Deliver expert sales presentations, develop bids and contracts, and forecast sales accurately.
Collaborate with other business units within Equifax, leveraging existing networks and contacts.
Coordinate with the Equifax Workforce Solutions teams in the US, Canada, and the UK to apply global best practices to the local market.
Deliver the Verification Exchange value proposition to both internal and external key stakeholders.
Execute core go-to-market objectives to achieve assigned sales targets.
Achieve assigned sales quota on a quarterly basis.
What experience you need
7+ years of enterprise sales experience, including time spent in financial services and engaging with one or more of the domains mentioned below.
Proven history of being a 'closer' in long-cycle, complex B2B sales environments with exceptional sales discipline.
Demonstrated sales experience within the Australian financial services sector, specifically selling fintech solutions and/or decisioning solutions to financial services providers, lenders (banks) or mortgage aggregators.
Expertise in managing and delivering accurate sales pipelines and forecasts.
Deep understanding of the Verification Exchange service, its features, and its value-add for financial institutions.
Experience leading value engineering discussions and guiding customers through solution adoption and value realisation
History of successful negotiation and influencing at the senior executive level (e.g., CROs).
What could set you apart
Relevant domain experience in one or more of the following: lending origination, mortgage and/or asset finance brokering, aggregation, process automation and the financial services regulatory landscape.
Bachelor's degree in a business or IT-related field; M.B.A. preferred.
Recognized formal sales methodology qualification.
A history of over-achieving assigned sales quotas
