Senior Business Analyst
What does a successful Business Analyst do?
The Senior Business Analyst acts as the SME on all aspects of Cards & Payments solutions and the primary focus is working collaboratively with Business Stakeholders, Project Managers and other Project team members to ensure timely delivery of various payments technology solutions. This includes business requirements documentation, functional specifications, testing and implementation phases and related Business Change activities.
Position scope includes accurate and timely delivery of project documentation to internal stakeholders and external clients. The role requires working independently with minimal supervision using contractual agreements and company procedures as guidelines.
The role is client facing and require excellent communication, documentation, planning and coordination skills.
What you will do:
- Identify, research, analyze, and document business requirements, ensuring solutions align with client, business, and market needs.
- Produce detailed functional specifications based on business requirements.
- Collaborate with Solution and Enterprise Architects to define and evaluate solution alternatives and strategies.
- Ensure adherence to business and system development methodologies, involving clients and stakeholders in key phases like requirements gathering and design document reviews.
- Facilitate requirement analysis and design workshops.
What you will need to have:
- 7+ years of experience working as a Senior Business Analyst or Business Analyst within the payments landscape.
- Solid knowledge of SDLC and experience with both waterfall and agile methodologies.
- Experience in delivering Payments solutions and products.
- A tertiary qualification in Information Technology or equivalent and/or equivalent military experience.
- Strong expertise in Credit & Debit Card processing, Transaction Switching, Card Issuing, Merchant Acquiring, Card Scheme Processing, eCommerce, mCommerce, and Payment Gateways.
What would be great to have:
- Experience with financial messaging standards like AS2805, ISO8583, VISA, MC, AMEX GAN, and UPI.
- Experience in Card Origination, Credit & Risk management platforms.
- Proven track record of gathering customer requirements and translating these into business processes.
- Exposure to global payments processing, Payments Hub, Clearing, Settlement, and Reconciliation.
- Knowledge of emerging technologies in Payments processing.
