Senior Business Analyst (AU)

As a Senior Business Analyst in our specialist project team, your role will be varied, working on projects directly related to growth initiatives, pricing, customer experience, regulatory and compliance, product and process improvements.  
 

Day to day, you will work closely with the Product and Development teams to help prioritise and manage any backlog, facilitate workshops with operations, product, marketing, legal and compliance to elicit, analyse and validate business processes, systems, and requirements. Beyond this, working in collaboration with CX and UX to ensure the solution delivers best possible customer experience. 
 

Key responsibilities: 

• Documenting business and functional requirements or user stories and acceptance criteria depending on the delivery method of the project. 

• Facilitate workshops with stakeholders to elicit, analyse and validate business processes, systems, and requirements. 

• Presenting information using visualisation techniques (e.g. process map, journey map, personas) 

• Providing support to Product and Tech at discovery stage such as creating hypothesis using lean canvas, product roadmap, high level requirements/epics/features, technical feasibility 

• Collaborate with squad members to clarify requirements and validate the implementation. 

• Support the requirements through development, testing and implementation sprints. 
   

Some things are essential to succeed:  
 

The Senior BA acts as a liaison between technical and business teams/end-users. Translating technical terminology through simple oral and visual techniques and tools will be 2nd nature to you. You have exceptional communication & Presentation skills, alongside senior stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence, handle negotiation and conflict resolution. 

• 3+ years Business Analysis experience in a complex business domain, fintech, or fast-growing fin services would be great. 

• You will have a technical understanding of VisionPlus, and be able to recommend VisionPlus parameter settings / changes to deliver product and pricing requirements. 

• You will have a technical understanding of JCL, VSAM, CICS and to be able to write and run Easytreves with TSO. 

• You will have experience QA testing changes before they are deployed into production. 

• Extensive experience using Confluence and JIRA. 

• Proven experience using both Agile and Waterfall methodologies. 

• Knowledge of Process mapping using BPMN 2.0. 
   

Some things we desire: 

• Credit Card and Loan Origination expertise 

• Several years Financial Services / FinTech Industry experience 

• Industry certification in Agile (e.g. SCRUM) 

• Industry certification in Business Analysis (e.g. CBAP)
