Working from our Melbourne Office in the World Trade Centre, located on Wurundjeri land, or from our Sydney HQ at Sydney Olympic Park, located on Wann-gal land, your role will focus on managing bid and project teams ensuring products and services are delivered as customer-centric solutions for our premier systems, products, and services across the defence, security, and civil markets in Australia.
Your responsibilities

Lead cross-functional teams to deliver large-complex tenders, while fostering collaboration, communication and ensuring bid milestones are efficiently met

Develop and deliver comprehensive bid & project plans and ensure successful project execution while adhering to budget and quality standards

Provide clear and effective communication across all levels of the organization, managing project scope, schedules, and risks
-
Proactively engage with stakeholders to understand their needs and expectations, maintaining regular communication to provide updates and address any concerns throughout the project lifecycle
-
Oversee bid & project budgets, ensuring resource allocation and expenditure align with financial plans
-
Monitor and report on financial performance to ensure bids & projects are delivered within budget constraints
-
Establish and uphold quality control processes and monitor project performance, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions when necessary
Your Experience
On day one in this role, we'll expect you to bring the following skills, experience and behaviours:
-
Solid experience in bid/project management or a related field, with a strong track record of successfully delivering complex and large-scale bids/projects within budget and on schedule
-
Project Management Professional (PMP) & Association of Proposal Management Professionals (APMP) certification or equivalent recognized qualification is highly desirable
-
Exceptional leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate cross-functional teams while effectively managing diverse stakeholder relationships
-
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the capacity to convey complex information clearly and effectively to various stakeholders at all levels
-
Familiarity with project management software and tools (e.g., MS Project, Primavera, Jira, Trello)
-
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Project Management, Business or a related field (preferred)
-
Must have a valid Driver’s license

Availability to travel
-
Must be eligible to obtain Australian Defence Clearances
