As a Senior Backend Engineer, you will design and develop backend solutions for a banking platform, focusing on reliability and scalability while collaborating with Frontend developers and teams.
Constantinople is the first of its kind: an all-in-one software and operational platform for banks. We provide our banking clients with a cloud-native infrastructure to host and manage their customers. We offer a comprehensive suite of banking products, together with all operational services needed to run a bank efficiently.
Constantinople’s state-of-the-art platform eliminates the need for expensive infrastructure, and replaces manual operational and compliance processes with automation at scale. By removing the operational complexity of banking, Constantinople enables its clients to focus on its customers and the business of banking.
The Role
As a Senior Backend Engineer at Constantinople, you will be a key technical leader responsible for designing, developing, and delivering complex solutions at the core of our banking platform. You will work closely with the Frontend Developers across the UX Squad and cross-functional teams. Your role will be to architect and build software that sets new industry standards for reliability, scalability, and security.
As a member of the UX Squad, you will work on making backend changes in our platform codebase. You will work closely with other Front-End developers in the squad; your role will focus on supporting Front-End developers in building new solutions and updating our platform. The team is responsible for client-facing projects, including Web and Mobile Apps, built with React and React Native.
What You’ll Do
- Develop and maintain critical platform features focused on enabling UI
- Be an active contributor to cross-team initiatives and provide support to the engineering team
- Develop and drive architectural changes across projects while leading engineers. Improve tooling to enable data-driven analysis and reporting to the wider Constantinople team
- Support a secure and functional platform
- Provide decisions on service performance and design implementation
Who Are You
- Have a deep understanding of the SDLC
- Experience developing sophisticated code in backend development
- Experience with building and managing large-scale features across multiple teams
- Strong teamwork skills that foster productive relationships, adding to the company culture
- Write clean, maintainable code and ensure code reviews and best practices are followed
- Experience in serverless patterns on AWS / GCP would be an advantage
