The Datacom Applications Management team is a close-knit team comprised of high achieving Applications Administrators covering the level 3 application support needs of multiple clients across Australia and covering technologies such as D365 CE, Salesforce, SharePoint, bespoke applications, as well as a range of other Commercial-off-the-Shelf (CoTS) applications
About the Role (your why)
The Applications Administrator is predominantly responsible for the administration and support of Commercial-off-the-Shelf (CoTS), custom developed portfolio applications and various SaaS products for our customers. Scope of work includes product upgrades, development of bug fixes and application enhancements so Azure .NET development experience is highly desirable. We need someone with an eye for detail, can work closely with customers in public and private enterprise and are looking for the next step in their technical career in a collaborative and hard-working environment.

What you’ll do
- The effective management and administration of CoTS applications within the application portfolio.
- Provide ongoing support for application-related incidents, including troubleshooting, diagnosing, and resolving issues in a timely manner.
- Monitor application performance and availability, proactively identifying potential issues and implementing solutions to prevent downtime.
- Work with architecture and project teams to ensure effective introduction of new applications, including technical and support recommendations or requirements.
- Meeting client SLAs through the management of resolver group queues to confirm work is completed within agreed time frames.
- Work with application Vendors to promptly resolve major issues that are not resolvable in-house.
- Utilizing IT Service Management tools to perform incident, request, change, and problem management.
- Maintenance of application portfolio including patching, upgrades, or security updates.
- Participate in on-call rotations and respond to critical incidents outside of regular business hours as needed.
- Develop, maintain, and enhance .NET applications leveraging Azure services such as Azure App Service, Azure Functions, Azure SQL Database, Azure Storage, etc.
- Ensure code quality, performance, and security standards are met throughout the development and support lifecycle.
- Document technical specifications, configurations, and troubleshooting procedures to facilitate knowledge sharing and improve support efficiency.
- Mentor junior staff and contribute to their professional growth through knowledge sharing and code reviews.

What you’ll bring
We are looking for a Senior Applications Administrator with Azure .NET Developer experience with the following skills:
- Knowledge and skills with applications from both an application and infrastructure perspective are highly desirable: SharePoint, bespoke applications, as well as a range of other Commercial-off-the-Shelf (CoTS) applications.
- Develop, maintain, and enhance .NET applications leveraging Azure services such as Azure App Service, Azure Functions, Azure SQL Database, Azure Storage, etc.
- Experience and understanding of enterprise IT technologies such as: Windows Server, Active Directory, Microsoft Cluster Service, VMware vSphere/ESXi, DFSR, IIS, DNS, Load Balancing, Microsoft SQL.
- Additional experience or skills with the following: Windows PowerShell scripting, Programming experience (C#, JS, HTML, .Net), Authentication mechanisms (Kerberos, SAML, ADFS).
- Understanding of ITIL Methodology (Change and Release processes).
