  • Business development initiatives: Supporting pitch preparation, proposals, sector research, and thought leadership to help deepen client relationships and win new mandates.

This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, deal-focused environment and enjoys synthesising financial and commercial insights into high quality deliverables.

About you:

You bring strong analytical capability, commercial curiosity, and the ability to communicate insights clearly with both internal and external stakeholders.

  • Exceptional written communication skills, with demonstrated ability to prepare structured documents and presentations.
  • High attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy in deliverables.
  • Ability to work both autonomously and collaboratively within deal teams.
  • Proactive, hands-on approach with a willingness to take ownership of tasks and adapt to changing priorities.

Education

  • Degree in Business/ Commerce, Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related discipline.
  • Completion of a professional qualification (CA, CFA or equivalent).

What you need to know about the Melbourne Tech Scene

Home to 650 biotech companies, 10 major research institutes and nine universities, Melbourne is among one of the top cities for biotech. In fact, some of the greatest medical advancements were conceptualized and developed here, including Symex Lab's "lab-on-a-chip" solution that monitors hormones to predict ovulation for conception, and Denteric's vaccine for periodontal gum disease. Yet, the thousands of people working in the city's healthtech sector are just getting started, to say nothing of the tech advancements across all other sectors.
