Job DescriptionAbout the role
As a Senior AI Product Manager in SEEK's 'Candidate Quality' squad, you'll bridge strategy and execution by translating business needs into AI-powered solutions that connect candidates with hirers across our global marketplace. You'll work within a cross-functional team of ~20 Data Scientists, AI Engineers and AI Product Managers, reporting to the Principal AI Product Manager, to build products that identify high-quality candidate matches and optimize our two-sided marketplace. Success in this role means delivering measurable improvements in candidate-job matching while driving strategic product vision and fostering strong stakeholder relationships across Australia, New Zealand, and South East Asia.
Responsibilities
- Develop deep understanding of customer needs and market trends to identify strategic priorities and opportunities for AI-driven candidate quality improvements.
- Collaborate with squad leaders to define medium-term product roadmaps, balancing innovation with short-term business priorities and quarterly OKRs.
- Partner with business stakeholders to frame opportunities, coordinate product integration, and manage ongoing engagement across SEEK.
- Drive product ownership by monitoring performance metrics, coordinating experiments, and ensuring accountability for product outcomes across the team.
- Translate complex AI concepts to non-technical partners while communicating business objectives to technical team members.
- Facilitate team processes and culture to enable fast, effective decision-making and mentor other team members.
- Work with Data Scientists and AI Engineers to design and deploy AI services that solve critical customer and business problems.
Skills and experience
- 5+ years of Product Management or Strategy experience with proven ability to translate conceptual ideas into executable plans and deliver results through execution challenges.
- Strong analytical and data-driven problem-solving skills, with experience identifying and defining ambiguous opportunities supported by clear hypotheses and workplans.
- Exceptional communication abilities to engage senior stakeholders and translate between technical and non-technical teams, including strategy, product, and commercial excellence functions.
- Technical curiosity and willingness to learn about software engineering and AI to work effectively with engineers and data scientists in solution design.
- Experience building deep understanding of complex problem domains and inspiring technical teams through collaborative solution development.
- Pragmatic decision-making approach with ability to make trade-offs, engage in productive conflict, and apply ethical AI principles in problem-solving.
