Senior Advisor - Communications

About the role 
 

We’re seeking a Senior Advisor - Communications to support and deliver communications that contribute to building trust in Transurban, supporting delivery of its purpose and strategy, and helps enable the company’s growth and customer focus.  

You will be passionate using communications to have a measurable impact on business priorities and helping employees be engaged and proud to work at Transurban. You will know and drive for communications solutions that are creative, data-driven and start with audience insights. 

You will be curious and keen to bring best practice communications to the TU team. 
 

As our Senior Advisor Communications you’ll contribute to lasting and positive changes that shape the future of our cities and communities. It’s meaningful, challenging and exciting work. 

Day-to-day, you will: 

• Share Transurban’s story with a passion to source and deliver engaging content, proof points and voices to bring our story to life in ways that connect to key audiences
• Campaigns that deliver to clear objectives of the annual Group Communications plan 
• Support People Leader and business unit communications that form part of the annual Group Communications plan 
• Business Partner advisory including issues management
• Leverage audience insights, data and measurement  
• Develop and delivers multi-media solutions 
• Deliver engaging, two-way live events 

This role will suit someone with a curious mind and transferrable skills and experiences, including: 

•  An experienced communications professional, you’ll have gained most of your experience within a similar internal communications role, ideally for a large ASX-listed corporate or organisation that has a commitment to internal communications and employee engagement 
• Sound knowledge of effective communication planning together with experience developing and delivering content across a range of channels, including video and intranet 
• A strong writer, you’ll have the ability to produce high-quality written material in various formats for a range of audiences, with a talent for communicating complex ideas simply 
• With a dedicated customer focus, you’ll excel at developing relationships and thrive when engaging with a variety of stakeholders 
• You’ll be organised, efficient and decisive, using content management systems to manage workflow while keeping an expert eye on the details  
• You’ll be driven by deadlines and by your desire to constantly improve.
