ABOUT THE ROLE
We have a great opportunity for an experienced individual to join our Finance team as a Senior Accountant. You will be responsible for preparing the group's financial statements, partnering closely with our external auditors to ensure a smooth audit process, and overseeing key areas including lease accounting and store impairment. You'll also play an important role in supporting and developing junior team members, while contributing to month-end activities related to occupancy expenses. In addition, you will collaborate with a range of internal stakeholders to coordinate the group's insurance renewal process and support the efficient management of insurance claims. If you find satisfaction in solving complex reporting puzzles and keeping the financials audit-ready, then this might just be your kind of role.
SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
- Demonstrated experience in a similar Senior Accounting or financial reporting role
- Degree / qualification in relevant field i.e. Bachelor of Commerce, Accounting, Finance
- Completed or working towards CPA & CA qualifications
- Strong technical accounting knowledge, ideally with exposure to lease accounting, statutory reporting, and audit processes
- Proven ability to build effective relationships and partner with stakeholders across the business
- Highly organised, detail-oriented, and able to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment
