About the role
This Senior Accountant role has a strong personnel focus and will be part of the Record to Report function across ANZ and Asia. You will partner with the business to deliver as a team, the monthly management reporting; process improvements and commercial insights for SEEK across the APAC region.
To be successful in this position you will need to be an energetic self-starter with strong commercial and analytical skills. The ideal background is someone with strong management reporting skills; an ability to implement process improvements; and has strong commercial acumen to lead a squad in creating robust personnel analysis and valuable insights to assist senior stakeholders with business decisions.
Job Description- Prepare and deliver personnel reporting to the business, including clear interpretation of actual results, communication of drivers and implications for future financial performance.
- Deep understanding of Personnel across ANZ and Asia – working closely with the People & Culture teams to ensure accurate reporting and accounting treatment of personnel costs
- Coach and guide a geographically diverse team of junior accountants
- Be an active contributor, advocate and collaborator in the R2R Finance team vision
- Supporting Finance Managers to deliver strong financial controls and record financial results in-line with SEEK Group accounting policies and IFRS
- Work collaboratively across Finance teams to continuously improve the speed and automation of financial data capture, reconciliation, reporting, analysis and insight generation
- Support the bi-annual audit process for the relevant business segment and liase with external auditors where necessary
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting or related field
- CA / CPA designation or equivalent
- Experience in commercial analysis roles
- Experience in preparation and accountability for business unit P&Ls and balance sheets
- Self-starter with the ability to interpret and communicate commercial insights to decision makers
- Passionate for enhancing business processes and information systems to optimise the capture of information
- An ability to manage large volumes of information and manipulate this through advanced Excel skills and data visualisation tools
- Strong interpersonal skills to build robust working relationships within a dynamic team environment
- Experience in coaching and guiding junior accountants within a team
- An ability to manage their own workflow
- Exposure to personnel specific accounting would be viewed favourably
Additional Information
- Experience managing remote team members, including people from other cultures
- Hands-on working experience with Workday Financials, Oracle ARCS & Reporting, and Power BI
- Experience working in a shared services environment
