₱90,000 – ₱105,000 per month, based on experience

     100% Work From Home

Monday to Friday, Australian business hours

Full-time, permanent employment with an established Australian company

You'll take ownership of the full compliance cycle for a portfolio of Australian individuals, sole traders, companies and trusts — preparing income tax returns, financial statements and EOFY workpapers, and reviewing bookkeeping files to catch what needs fixing before anything goes near a client.

This is a role for someone who already understands company tax and franking accounts well enough to review someone else's work and know what's wrong with it — not someone learning the fundamentals on the job.

You'll build genuine technical range here — moving from return preparation into full EOFY ownership, company tax work, and the judgement calls that come with reconciling accounting profit against taxable income. You'll also support junior team members by answering technical questions, reviewing their work and giving clear, constructive feedback.

What you'll do

Prepare Australian income tax returns for individuals, sole traders, companies and trusts

Prepare financial statements and supporting workpapers, ready for review and lodgement

Review bookkeeping files, identify issues and make corrections where required

Manage EOFY adjustments — accruals, prepayments, depreciation, loan reconciliations and other year-end journals

Apply company tax knowledge, including franking accounts, dividends and related adjustments

Review balance sheet accounts and investigate unreconciled or unusual balances

Reconcile accounting profit against taxable income

Review junior team members' work, answer technical questions and support their development

Manage your own client workload independently, end to end

Requirements

At least 3–4 years of experience preparing Australian income tax returns and financial statements

Hands-on experience across multiple entity types — individuals, sole traders, companies and trusts

Sound understanding of company tax, including franking accounts and dividend adjustments

Experience preparing EOFY adjustments and reconciling balance sheet accounts

Experience preparing tax reconciliations and explaining differences between accounting profit and taxable income

Confidence reviewing others' work and giving clear, constructive feedback

Strong attention to detail and the judgement to know when something needs a second look

Preferred

Experience with cloud accounting or Australian tax lodgement software (e.g. Xero, MYOB, HandiTax)

Prior experience mentoring or supervising junior accountants

     HMO coverage from Day 1

20 days paid leave per year — 15 annual leave + 5 sick leave, accruing from Day 1

     13th month pay

     Annual rate and performance review

Full-time, permanent employment with an established Australian company

     Monday to Friday

What you need to know about the Melbourne Tech Scene

Home to 650 biotech companies, 10 major research institutes and nine universities, Melbourne is among one of the top cities for biotech. In fact, some of the greatest medical advancements were conceptualized and developed here, including Symex Lab's "lab-on-a-chip" solution that monitors hormones to predict ovulation for conception, and Denteric's vaccine for periodontal gum disease. Yet, the thousands of people working in the city's healthtech sector are just getting started, to say nothing of the tech advancements across all other sectors.
