At Actionstep, our Sales team plays a critical role in helping law firms do what they do best — be lawyers. We build trusted relationships with customers and partners, clearly articulate the value of our platform, and enable firms to reclaim time, clarity, and control through smarter practice management.

We’re now looking for a Senior Account Executive to join our ANZ Sales team, owning the full sales cycle across midmarket and larger law firms and playing a key role in driving our next phase of growth.

The Opportunity

As a Senior Account Executive, you’ll be responsible for driving new customer acquisition and expansion revenue across Australia and New Zealand. You’ll manage sophisticated, consultative sales cycles with law firms, positioning Actionstep as a strategic partner rather than just a software vendor.

This role is ideal for a commercially driven, customer-first seller who thrives on autonomy, understands how to navigate complex buying environments, and consistently delivers results in a structured, sustainable way.

Success in this role is primarily measured by revenue generation and customer login growth, supported by strong pipeline discipline, qualified lead conversion, and effective outbound activity.

The Role

• Own and exceed monthly and annual sales targets, directly contributing to Actionstep’s growth.
• Manage the full sales lifecycle end to end, from prospecting and discovery through to close and customer adoption.
• Build and grow strong relationships across key customer segments, regions, and accounts.
• Balance inbound lead qualification with proactive outbound activity to generate high-quality pipeline.
• Lead compelling, value-driven product demonstrations that clearly communicate Actionstep’s strategic value.
• Position yourself as a trusted advisor by deeply understanding customer needs and challenges.
• Maintain strong pipeline discipline using HubSpot and LinkedIn Navigator, with accurate forecasting and reporting.
• Collaborate closely with Marketing, Product, Customer Success, and Services teams to support go-to-market success.
• Contribute to campaigns, events, and webinars while championing Actionstep in the market.
• Share customer and market insights to drive continuous improvement and smarter sales execution.

Requirements

Essential Experience
  • 5+ years’ experience as a Senior Account Executive or similar role within SaaS or technology-enabled services.
  • Proven track record of closing complex deals and consistently achieving revenue targets.
  • Experience managing full-cycle sales processes, including prospecting, discovery, demonstration, negotiation, and close.
  • Strong CRM experience (Salesforce, HubSpot, or similar).
  • Excellent commercial, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Experience selling to professional services or legal firms is highly regarded.
Desirable Experience
  • Experience selling legal technology, practice management systems, or enterprise SaaS solutions.
  • Exposure to mid-market or enterprise sales environments with longer sales cycles.
  • Experience working with partners, referrals, or indirect sales models.
  • Understanding of law firm operations, billing models, and compliance environments.
  • Formal sales training or methodologies (e.g. MEDDICC, Challenger, SPIN).
  • Tertiary qualification in Business, Marketing, Law, or a related discipline.
