About the Position:

This isn’t a cold-calling sales role. We’ve got a team who takes care of finding and closing most of our enterprise clients.

Your job? Keep our best clients happy, healthy, and growing.

As our Senior Account Director, you’ll be the go-to person for a portfolio of high-value accounts (>100k ARR) at not only The HOTH, but also our sister brands - Authority Builders and LinkBuilder.io. You’ll make sure they’re getting amazing results, finding new ways to grow their business with us, and sticking around for the long haul.

You’ll work closely with our CX team to deliver great service, spot opportunities for upsells and cross-sells, and make sure every client interaction leaves them feeling like we’ve got their back. You’ll also serve as a mentor and resource to our Account Directors, helping to level up the team, share best practices, and lead by example when it comes to client relationships and strategic thinking.

Please note: This is a full-time role based out of our Downtown St. Pete office. We offer a flexible hybrid schedule with in-office days on MWF and remote work on Tuesday and Thursday.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Build and maintain relationships with key decision-makers in mid-market and enterprise companies.
  • Deliver persuasive presentations and demos tailored to the prospect’s goals.
  • Qualify leads to ensure they align with our target market and are a good fit for our services.
  • Collaborate with Sales leadership to refine messaging, strategy, and outreach efforts.
  • Provide mentorship and leadership to Account Directors
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and competitor offerings.

What You’ll Do (A Day in the Life):

  • 60%: Client Account Management (Your #1 Focus)
    • Build real relationships with decision-makers at mid-market and enterprise accounts (> $100k ARR).
    • Be their trusted partner — check in regularly, review performance, and talk strategy.
    • Keep an eye on account health metrics so you can spot (and fix) problems early.
    • Make sure we hit retention goals and keep our clients raving about us.
  • 30% - Finding Growth Opportunities
    • Look for ways to help clients get even more out of working with us, whether that’s content, local SEO, link building, or digital PR.
    • Pitch ideas that make sense for their goals and help them see the value in expanding their services.
    • Work with CX and fulfillment to deliver new services without a hitch.
  • 10% - Collaboration & Reporting
    • Team up with CX, fulfillment, and leadership to keep accounts moving in the right direction.
    • Keep our CRM system up to date with all your client notes, activities, and wins.
    • Share your wins and client insights with the team so we can all get better.
What We’re Looking For:
  • 6+ years in account management, client success, or sales (SEO/digital marketing/media experience is a plus).
  • Proven success in keeping high-value clients happy and growing their accounts.
  • A relationship-builder who can earn trust and communicate clearly.
  • Knows enough about SEO/digital marketing to talk strategy confidently (or can learn quickly).
  • Organized, self-motivated, and able to juggle multiple high-value clients at once.
  • Comfortable working toward retention and growth goals — and motivated by a variable comp plan.
