At Curriculum Associates, we believe in the potential of every child and are changing the face of education technology with award-winning learning programs like i-Ready that serve a third of the nation’s K–8 students. For more than 50 years, our commitment to making classrooms better places, serving educators, and supporting accessible learning experiences for all students has driven the continuous improvement of our innovative programs. Our team of more than 2,500 employees is composed of lifelong learners who stand behind this mission, working tirelessly to serve the educational community with world-class programs and support every day.

At Stile, our mission is simple: prepare young citizens to think scientifically about the world around them and make evidence-based decisions for their future. To do this, we create thought-provoking, meticulously researched science content that connects real-world discoveries to students’ everyday lives.

We’re looking for passionate science teachers who want to have an even bigger impact beyond the classroom. If you love sparking curiosity in your students, and you’ve ever wished you could help shape the very resources teachers rely on, this role is for you.

1 in 3 schools in Australia use Stile, and with a rapid expansion in the US, we expect our use to continue to grow in the coming years. That's quite some reach, and it's a responsibility we take very seriously.

The Stile team is made up of 80 incredible teachers, scientists, artists and engineers who genuinely care about, and are working towards, improving scientific literacy amongst our young citizens.

We need your help!

As a Science Curriculum Writer, you’ll bring your classroom experience to the creation of engaging, rigorous science lessons. You’ll write resources that you would be proud to teach yourself - lessons that not only align with curriculum standards but also capture students’ imaginations.

How you’ll spend your time:

  • Creating world-class science resources: Working side-by-side with our ‘dream team’ of other writers, teachers, engineers, designers and professional development team to make the best science resources in the known universe.

  • Aligning content to curricula: Finding novel ways to take the best aspects of different curricula and bring them together to create engaging content that will excite educators worldwide.

  • Collaborating across disciplines: Partnering with videographers, designers, and engineers to bring your ideas to life - whether that’s crafting an engaging video, building a classroom simulation, or designing an interactive tool to model real-world phenomena.

  • User testing in schools: Test and teach the content you create to ensure it hits the mark in the classroom.

  • Continuing to hone your skills and knowledge:  We’re lifelong learners at Stile, so we always seek to improve our practice. You’ll find yourself reading up on the latest AI vibe-coded simulations or learning about the latest trends in education. You can also expect to spend time peer-reviewing work with your colleagues, ensuring we’re consistently delivering the best possible content.

A bit more about you:

  • You’re an experienced science teacher who loves helping students understand the world through science.

  • You’re skilled at breaking down complex ideas into engaging, age-appropriate explanations.

  • You’re creative and organised, able to balance multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.

  • You’re eager to learn. Super eager. You soak up feedback, incorporate it, and are constantly driven to be better. You can’t help it.

  • You can communicate complex scientific ideas clearly to a younger audience.

  • You’re knowledgeable about education and across the latest trends in education technology and pedagogy.

  • Bonus points if you have experience with the Next Generation Science Standards (NGSS) or other US curricula.

  • You’re curious about new tools and aren’t afraid to experiment with AI to support your creativity.

What’s in it for you:

  • Colleagues worth working with: You’ll join an amazing 80-strong team of teachers, scientists, artists, and engineers. We hold ourselves, and each other, to a high standard, and love what we do.

  • Working on something that really matters: In partnership with teachers, we’re coaching students to become problem solvers and critical thinkers. We believe that with a strong command of science, tomorrow’s citizens and leaders are set up to sort the misinformation from the facts.

  • Support always: Stile is its people, and it’s important we are creating an environment where you’re supported, happy and able to do your best work. We have strong management and feedback frameworks, and a great benefits program.

  • A fantastic office environment: We love in-person collaboration, and have built an office to facilitate just that. It has a huge central kitchen, lots of places to put your feet up to work and even end of trip facilities if you ride in.

  • Flexibility: We expect that you work hard, but we know life doesn’t run on a 9–5 schedule. Whether it’s school pick-up or an important appointment, you’ll have the flexibility to step out when you need to.

  • Your own professional development: Alongside teaching you everything you need to know to succeed in this role, we provide a generous PD allowance.

What you need to know about the Melbourne Tech Scene

Home to 650 biotech companies, 10 major research institutes and nine universities, Melbourne is among one of the top cities for biotech. In fact, some of the greatest medical advancements were conceptualized and developed here, including Symex Lab's "lab-on-a-chip" solution that monitors hormones to predict ovulation for conception, and Denteric's vaccine for periodontal gum disease. Yet, the thousands of people working in the city's healthtech sector are just getting started, to say nothing of the tech advancements across all other sectors.
