Responsible for generating revenue within an organizational unit by closing national account sales, which are named accounts critical to the company in terms of market share growth and other business goals. Sells Professional Tax Technology products/services directly to end users primarily via face-to-face contact. Manages complex, global or high-profile sales accounts. Plans own territory or account approach and has input into colleagues’ approaches.
About the role
The Sales Representative is a crucial role within the Wolters Kluwer Research and Learning sales team. The primary role of the sales development manager is to research, call and create qualified sales opportunities that are accepted by the R&L sales team. The role involves researching prospects, working on inbound and outbound marketing campaigns, and communicating our value proposition to senior decision-makers to acquire sales- qualified opportunities. This role works with marketing to uncover and create new opportunities that result in closed business, as well as working closely with the sales team to ensure qualified opportunities lead to closed business.

This role is based in our Macquarie Park (Sydney) or Bourke Street (Melbourne) office with flexible working arrangements.
Key Responsibilities
- Generate new sales prospects
- Maintain post-sales contact with large or strategic clients to facilitate a positive and productive long-term relationship
- Communicate with customers with regards to any account problems and discusses customer concerns and suggestions
- Focus efforts on product feedback, enhancement, upgrades, and development
- Report suggestions to and develop solutions with sales, order processing, and customer success and support team
- Compile data on marketing trends, competitive products and pricing and reports to management
- Travel to and attend conferences, events and customer meetings as required
About You
- 5+ years’ experience in sales or other equivalent experience
- Solid understanding of business, financials, products/services and the market, preferably with a reputation for providing a level of expert knowledge within your industry
- Excellent communication (both written & oral) and presentation skills
- Ability to plan own territory/account approach and manage own resources;
- Client Engagement: Ability to interact with clients and understand their needs.
- Sales Techniques: Knowledge of effective sales strategies and techniques.
- CRM Proficiency: Experience with customer relationship management software.
- Data Analysis: Skills in interpreting market data and sales metrics.
- Negotiation: Basic skills in negotiating terms with clients.
- Project Organization: Ability to manage sales projects and campaigns.
- Feedback Management: Skills in collecting and acting on client feedback.
- Continuous Learning: Commitment to ongoing sales and product training.
