WHO WE ARE | WHAT WE DO

At Yodo1, we don’t just grow games—we help turn them into household names.

With billions of downloads across our portfolio, we’ve spent more than a decade shaping the growth of iconic titles. From helping first-time creators monetize their debut games to bringing world-class IPs from Hasbro, Paramount, Legendary, and Sony Pictures into the hands of top studios such as Rivergame, Candivore, 37Games, and Tencent Studios—we’ve proven what’s possible when creativity meets global expertise.

Yodo1 Games is raising the bar: transforming great titles into lasting franchises that define gaming for generations. Drawing on experience with successes like Transformers: Earth Wars, Rodeo Stampede, and Ski Safari, we provide the systems, partnerships, and global reach that help visionary developers build worlds players will return to for decades.

Joining Yodo1 Games means more than a job — it means becoming part of a team that lives and breathes games, works with some of the most talented creators in the industry, and is driven by a mission to shape the future of gaming.

We love games. We play games. And together, we grow games that last.

WHAT WE BELIEVE | HOW WE WORK

We believe in the future and power of the mobile gaming industry and that everyone deserves an equal opportunity to build a life they love through games—from anywhere in the world.

We believe you know when and where you do your best work. We are fully remote by design, and we WFA: Work From Anywhere. We don’t impose hours or limit time off.

We are driven by performance, and we experiment often. We care about impact, not titles.

WHO WE’RE LOOKING FOR

Yodo1 is looking for a Sales Operations Manager to own the end-to-end deal process for our IP licensing business, from commercial agreement through contract signing and payment, ensuring deals close faster and forecasts are accurate.

You are:

  • Focused on impact. You understand the 80/20 rule and focus on activities that matter.

  • Performance-driven and growth-oriented. You have an intrinsic drive to succeed and are unafraid to try, fail, and learn by experimenting with new approaches and testing ideas.

  • Cooperative. You help others succeed; you give and receive feedback well.

  • Relentlessly curious. You ask questions.

  • Humble. You ask for help; you are quick to admit and learn from your mistakes.

  • SMART. You work and communicate in ways that are Specific, Measurable, Actionable, Relevant, and Time-bound.

WHAT WE EXPECT

You will:

Deal Process Ownership

  • Own the full deal lifecycle from Stage 3 (Proposal Given / Commercial Agreed) through contract signing and payment collection

  • Manage a structured closing checklist for every active deal: contract draft, legal review, redlines, insurance, signature, invoice, payment

  • Proactively identify and resolve dependencies (legal contacts, insurance requirements, signer information, payment terms) before they become blockers

  • Track milestones against expected timelines and escalate stalled deals to the right stakeholders

Forecast Management

  • Own forecast validation for the BU — challenge BD forecasts based on actual milestone progress, not optimism

  • Build and maintain a realistic view of closing probability and expected timing for each deal

  • Provide accurate pipeline reporting to management on a weekly basis

Process Improvement & Automation

  • Identify repetitive bottlenecks in the deal process and implement solutions (automation, templates, standardized workflows)

  • Drive AI adoption across the BD team — evaluate and scale AI tools for deal tracking, contract analysis, and workflow automation

  • Consolidate successful BD experiments with AI into team-wide practices

Cross-functional Coordination

  • Serve as the central point of contact connecting BD, Legal, Finance, and external partners during the deal closing phase

  • Escalate blockers proactively with clear recommendations

  • Represent the BU in deal-related management meetings

Who You Are

  • Proactive and self-starting — you don't wait to be told what to do. You see what needs to happen and make it happen.

  • Credible with sales teams — you can hold your own in conversations with experienced BDs. You earn respect through competence and directness, not authority.

  • Comfortable challenging assumptions — you're willing to tell a BD their forecast is unrealistic and defend that position with data.

  • Process-oriented — you think in systems, checklists, and timelines. You bring structure to ambiguity.

  • Business-driven, not just administrative — this is not a coordinator role. You are a business driver who cares about outcomes, not just task completion.

You must have:

  • 3+ years of experience in sales operations, deal management, or related roles in the licensing, gaming, media, or tech industry

  • Proven ability to manage complex, multi-stakeholder deal processes

  • Strong analytical skills and data-driven decision-making

  • Fluent in English and Chinese (verbal and written)

  • Experience with CRM tools (HubSpot or similar) and pipeline management

You might have:

  • Experience in IP licensing, gaming, or the entertainment industry

  • Experience implementing AI tools or automation in a sales/BD context

  • Experience working in a cross-cultural environment (China + global)

What you need to know about the Melbourne Tech Scene

Home to 650 biotech companies, 10 major research institutes and nine universities, Melbourne is among one of the top cities for biotech. In fact, some of the greatest medical advancements were conceptualized and developed here, including Symex Lab's "lab-on-a-chip" solution that monitors hormones to predict ovulation for conception, and Denteric's vaccine for periodontal gum disease. Yet, the thousands of people working in the city's healthtech sector are just getting started, to say nothing of the tech advancements across all other sectors.
