About you:

The Australian and New Zealand accounting markets are undergoing significant digital transformation, with thousands of firms still relying on manual workflows and legacy systems. As an experienced Enterprise Sales Manager with Access, you will drive your team to capture this opportunity by selling solutions across the Access product suite, including ATO SmartDocs, ChangeGPS, Fathom, and Access Accountants Suite.

In this key people manager sales role, you’ll be focused on leading, coaching and growing a team of Business Development Managers and Account Executives selling SaaS solutions to accounting firms across Australia and New Zealand.

Carrying a team target, you’ll be directly accountable for your team’s pipeline generation, deal progression and revenue attainment. In this Sales Manager role, you will be focused on building a high-performance sales culture, grounded in methodology and professional development.

Our ideal candidate brings a strong SaaS sales management track record, deep knowledge of the Australian and NZ accounting industry, and a genuine passion for coaching sellers to reach their potential.

Day-to-day, you will be focused on:

  • Team leadership & Performance Management; owning team revenue targets across monthly, quarterly and annual cycles. Setting clear expectations, running regular pipeline reviews and by conducting regular one-to-ones you will ensure your team achieves activity standards & forecast accuracy.
  • Sales coaching and development; covering discovery techniques, objection handling, negotiation and closing. Embed MEDDPICC qualification discipline across the team- identifying skill gaps and creating a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
  • Pipeline generation and management; driving sustained pipelines across the team, through outbound prospecting, campaign execution and partnerships with marketing – ensure CRM Sales force is effectively maintained.
  • Strategic Deal Support: sponsor and engage directly in complex or high value opportunities, leading discovery and negotiation on enterprise level deals. Building and maintaining relationships with C and Partner level stakeholders within target accounting firms.
  • Recruitment and Team building; Partner with internal support teams to attract and assess top sales talent. Build a bench of high calibre candidates by designing and delivering onboarding programs that quickly ramp new hires to productivity.
  • Market Intelligence and competitive strategy; maintain a deep understanding of the Australian and New Zealand accounting software landscape. Feed your insights back and work closely with pre-sales, customer success and product and marketing. You’ll be the voice of the customer, particularly in internal planning forums.

Your skills and experiences might include:  

  • Saas Sales Leadership; a minimum of 5 years’ experience managing successful B2B SaaS sales teams.
  • Coaching and People Development; leading from the front, investing time in structured development with experience coaching and developing professionals at various levels. Ramping and onboarding new sales talent – hiring and building effective and focused teams.
  • Pipeline and Forecast Discipline; rigorous approach to pipeline management, deal inspection and forecasting, using data to drive decisions, coach reps and report to leadership with confidence.
  • Stakeholder Management and Executive Presence; building trust with senior internal stakeholders and engaging credibly with C level buyers in accounting firms.
  • Accounting Industry Knowledge: an understanding of practice management workflows, compliance, ATO processes within the competitive landscape will accelerate your impact.
  • Growth mindset and Resilience; thriving in a fast paced, high accountability environment. Being open to feedback and committed to your own development – bringing energy and optimism to your team and others around you.
