Job Description

The role of Sales Manager is to manage and grow sales of Smiths Detection products and solutions into the allocated markets/territory including Australia, New Zealand, Pacific Islands and Papua New Guinea. The Sales Manager will support the ANZ Head of Sales in generating and delivering run rate sales opportunities whilst taking accountability for achieving order intake growth.

  • Meeting and exceeding Bookings, Revenue and Profit targets for the allocated market.
  • Manage run-rate sales opportunities.
  • Drive and develop existing and new business.
  • Use the required business tools and programs to manage, maintain and report weekly on Sales Pipeline.
  • Own the Smiths relationship with run rate customers and be responsive to enquiries.
  • Manage the sales process from initiation, development, through to order and delivery of goods.
  • Interact, engage and work with other key business functions including Programmes, Service, Finance and Legal.
  • Use SAP as the principle business support tool for quotations, pipeline management, ordering and financial management.
  • Attend and contribute to Meetings for Weekly Operations, Revenue and Bookings, Pipeline Development and Critical Sales Opportunity Development.
  • Other activities as required.
