**This hybrid role (in office Tues-Wed-Thurs) is based in Sydney, NSW**

Team & Opportunity  

We’re looking for a dynamic and driven Sales Executive to grow Vanguard’s presence in the financial adviser market. In this role, you’ll build strong relationships with financial advisers, promote our investment philosophy and product suite, and help grow and retain client assets. You’ll manage your own sales pipeline, identify new opportunities, and collaborate with internal teams to deliver outstanding client experiences. 

 

Core Responsibilities 

 

  • Collaborate with panel partners to develop and support strategic initiatives that grow net cash flow (NCF), retain assets, and expand our reach across intermediary segments. 

  • Promote Vanguard’s investment philosophy by sharing our portfolio construction approach, core beliefs, and product offerings with financial advisers. 

  • Drive your own success by managing your pipeline and panel relationships to boost sales velocity. 

  • Identify new opportunities and build strong relationships with prospective clients, introducing them to Vanguard’s value. 

  • Co-manage key client relationships with senior sales leaders, especially for clients who prefer virtual engagement. 

  • Work across panels to share insights, collaborate on sales opportunities, and celebrate joint successes. 

  • Apply our sales framework to deeply understand client needs and improve sales efficiency and effectiveness. 

  • Partner with internal teams, including Marketing, ISG, and Product to deliver tailored solutions that meet client expectations. 

  • Develop market expertise by working closely with senior sales and leadership to stay ahead of industry trends and position Vanguard competitively. 

  • Contribute to special projects and take on new challenges that support our mission and your professional growth. 

 

 
Qualifications 

  • Undergraduate degree or equivalent experience, with completion of RG146 or similar. 

  • Minimum 5 years of client-facing or sales experience, including web and phone-based engagement. 

  • Proven ability to develop strong, effective working relationships with clients and colleagues. 

  • Solid understanding of fund management products and the competitive intermediary landscape. 

  • Clear, confident, and persuasive presentation style, with excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
