Job DescriptionAbout the role:
Join our collaborative and supportive Go-To-Market team as a Sales Development Representative (SDR), where you'll be surrounded by growth-minded teammates who lift each other up and are equipped with the tools, training, and mentorship to grow fast and go far.
In this role, you'll be instrumental in helping professional services firms modernise how they engage clients. Our platform simplifies and elevates invoicing, payments, and workflows, taking the burden out of day-to-day operations so they can focus on what matters most.
As an SDR, you’ll be generating qualified leads, sparking meaningful conversations, and booking product demos that set our Account Executives up for success. Your mission: ignite interest, build strong pipelines, and help scale revenue.

What your day to day will look like:
Your key goal is to build pipelines alongside our team, engaging prospective customers, sparking interest in our platform, and booking product demos and consultations. You’ll play a key role in building a strong pipeline of qualified opportunities and driving revenue growth.
- Engage prospects via phone and email, making strong first impressions with solid product and industry knowledge (don’t worry, we’ll support you with training when needed!)
- Qualify leads and move them through the sales funnel
- Proactively generate new business through outbound outreach using tools like HubSpot, LinkedIn, Apollo & more
- Collaborate within the team to ensure smooth handoffs
- Consistently meet monthly targets for qualified demos booked and completed
- Represent Ignition at industry events to identify prospects (light travel may be required)
- Master product knowledge and handle objections confidently
- Identify and suggest improvements to sales processes
- Leverage tools like HubSpot, Gong, and Zoom to work efficiently
What you need to succeed:

- Excellent written communication for copywriting emails & social posts
- Warm and clear verbal communication skills, you enjoy connecting with people
- Organised and able to manage your time effectively
- Open to feedback and see it as an opportunity to improve
- Comfortable with systems and adaptable when things change

- Basic understanding of the sales process, lead generation, and email marketing
- Willingness to learn and understand the Ignition product and value proposition
