This is an exciting opportunity for someone who enjoys speaking with clients, building strong relationships and uncovering opportunities. You’ll play an important role in growing our existing client base by proactively engaging with developing, low-spend and dormant accounts.

As an SDR, you’ll be responsible for having meaningful conversations with clients, understanding their needs, identifying opportunities to introduce additional Law In Order services and generating qualified meetings for our senior sales team. This is a highly phone-based role where your ability to build rapport, ask great questions and identify opportunities will be key to your success.

The role provides an excellent foundation for building a long-term career in sales, with a clear pathway into Client Relationship Manager and Strategic Account Manager positions.
Responsibilities

  • Conduct high-volume outbound calls to existing Law In Order clients.
  • Re-engage inactive and low-spending accounts and build ongoing client relationships.
  • Conduct customer care and account check-in calls to understand client satisfaction and identify opportunities.
  • Develop a strong understanding of client requirements, challenges and future needs.
  • Identify opportunities to introduce clients to additional Law In Order services, including Transcription, eHearings, eDiscovery, Document Production, Mailouts & Managed Services and emerging service offerings.
  • Generate qualified sales opportunities and meetings for senior sales team members.
  • Manage an assigned portfolio of developing and low-spending accounts.
  • Conduct structured prospecting and follow-up campaigns.
  • Identify new contacts and decision-makers within existing client organisations.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date client information, activities and opportunities in Salesforce.
  • Track opportunities through the sales process and provide regular pipeline updates.
  • Work closely with Client Relationship Managers and service specialists to maximise client opportunities.
  • Share client feedback, market intelligence and emerging opportunities with the broader Sales team.
  • Support account retention through proactive and consistent client engagement.

Who we are looking for
We’re looking for an energetic, relationship-focused and commercially minded professional who is motivated to build a successful career in client management and business development.

You’ll be someone who enjoys picking up the phone, having conversations and building genuine relationships with clients. You’ll be curious about their business, confident asking questions and able to identify opportunities where Law In Order can provide additional value.

You’ll also be resilient, organised and results-driven, with the motivation to work towards activity and revenue targets. Most importantly, you’ll bring a positive attitude, a willingness to learn and a genuine desire to succeed as part of a collaborative team.

Experience

  • 1+ years’ experience in customer service, sales or account management.
  • Exceptional verbal communication and relationship-building skills.
  • Confidence and enthusiasm when engaging with clients over the telephone.
  • Experience working towards activity, sales or revenue targets.
  • Strong organisational and time-management skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records.
  • A proactive, resilient and positive approach to achieving targets.
  • Experience using Salesforce CRM is advantageous but not essential.
  • Experience within professional services, legal services or technology is advantageous.

What you need to know about the Melbourne Tech Scene

Home to 650 biotech companies, 10 major research institutes and nine universities, Melbourne is among one of the top cities for biotech. In fact, some of the greatest medical advancements were conceptualized and developed here, including Symex Lab's "lab-on-a-chip" solution that monitors hormones to predict ovulation for conception, and Denteric's vaccine for periodontal gum disease. Yet, the thousands of people working in the city's healthtech sector are just getting started, to say nothing of the tech advancements across all other sectors.
