Are you a driven SDR with a deep passion for the food and beverage industry?

We’re looking for a sales person to join our growing venue team, which works hand-in-hand with the best restaurants, cafes and bars across Australia. Your role is to help these venues streamline their business by adopting our digital solutions, including consolidating their food and beverage purchasing via our digital platform, leveraging features like chat, one-click-bookkeeping or spend insights or benefiting from our market-leading rewards programme.

At Ordermentum, our purpose is to create a more sustainable food and beverage industry, by helping venues and suppliers trade smarter. Since launching in 2014, we've grown a massive network of 46k of your favourite cafes, restaurants, and bars (over half the venues in the country!) ordering with 1,000 local, wholesale suppliers.

What you’ll do:

  • Meet and Exceed Sales Targets: Focus on achieving individual and team sales goals.  Source and qualify mid market and enterprise leads  for handover to our field sales team. Take high velocity leads from prospect to close before overseeing handover to our success team.
  • Meet and Exceed Output Targets:  Hit weekly call targets. Reach out to inbound leads via phone, text and email, educate them on our services and qualify the opportunity for us to help them trade smarter.
  • Build Customer Relationships:  Work closely with our existing community of hospitality venues, understand their needs and help them consolidate their food and beverage purchasing via Ordermentum’s platform.
  • Build Supplier Relationships: Work with our curated range of suppliers to provide ‘win-wins’ for venues and suppliers, creating sustainable long-term trading relationships
  • Inter Team Collaboration: Provide in depth feedback to the Product, Growth, Marketing and Data teams to help support our future strategy development.
  • Experiment, Experiment, Experiment:  Test out new inbound and outbound initiatives to drive our future sales strategy, looking at new and improved ways for us to use our transactional data and product-led insights to find the right venue at the right time and engage them in the right way.

What you’ll have:

  • 1+ years experience in sales or sales development
  • Experience making cold calls to decision makers
  • Knowledge of sales principles and CRM proficiency
  • Self-motivated, driven and with a desire to constantly learn, grow and deliver exceptional results
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to understand the needs of your customers and then sell and present ideas in a compelling way, adjusting style for the audience
  • Willingness and genuine desire to solve customer issues and foster better relationships between our venues and suppliers

What you get

  • We are a WORK180 Endorsed Employer for all women
  • Great office centrally located in Carlton with a flexible working environment believing in getting things done rather than counting time at a desk
  • A wellbeing allowance and lifelong learner allowance
  • 4 extra days off a year for you to do you
  • We cover your mobile phone bill
  • Work in a highly capable team working on some interesting problems
  • Plus working in Food & Bev usually means lots of treats!

What you need to know about the Melbourne Tech Scene

Home to 650 biotech companies, 10 major research institutes and nine universities, Melbourne is among one of the top cities for biotech. In fact, some of the greatest medical advancements were conceptualized and developed here, including Symex Lab's "lab-on-a-chip" solution that monitors hormones to predict ovulation for conception, and Denteric's vaccine for periodontal gum disease. Yet, the thousands of people working in the city's healthtech sector are just getting started, to say nothing of the tech advancements across all other sectors.
