About the Role (your why)  

This dynamic role supports one of our most successful teams by providing exceptional customer service and driving sales growth within our business. You'll leverage your previous IT hardware experience to develop strong relationships with existing and new clients, identify opportunities, and support the sales process from proposal to close. This is a fast-paced environment where you'll hit the ground running and have the opportunity to contribute directly to the team's success, with potential for career advancement.

Our office is based in Melbourne, we like to bring people together in person when we can, but we are mindful of the benefits of working from home for work/ life balance. We therefore leave it to you and the team you join to figure out what works best! 


What you’ll do   

As Sales Coordinator you will:

  • Plan and prioritise sales support activities towards achieving agreed business goals, whilst managing your time and productivity
  • Identify sales leads and escalating them to Business Development Managers
  • As a skilled specialist, this position completes tasks in resourceful and effective ways
  • Maintain sales statistics, records of sales performance and the customer database
  • Provide administrative support for the production of tenders, bids and other sales related documents
  • Receive, handle or escalate customer complaints related to the sale of our products/services
  • Identify opportunities for continuous improvement to build a culture of service excellence
  • Displays a high level of operational discipline, ensuring Datacom and client processes, policies and procedures are followed and adhered to
  • Promote a positive culture within the team

We are a pretty agile company, and are keen to respond to customer, technology and internal stakeholders’ changing requirements and this can mean we evolve in our roles to meet those needs. 


What you’ll bring  

We are looking for someone with at least 2 years experience within the ICT sector. You will ultimately posses the following skills and attributes:

  • Sound IT hardware product and services knowledge
  • Excellent customer/vendor relationship building and management skills
  • Ability to frequently interact and network with a variety of stakeholders and team members within own area of expertise
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Proven analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Detailed with good organisational skills
  • A team player and also have the ability to work independently
